"I didn't mean to go on like that," I said. "We should be heading to bed."

"Can I ask you something, Y/N?"

"What is it?"

He grabbed my hand and caressed the top of it with his thumb, "Why are you so open around me?"

"Because you were open to me and you deserved to know what happened between me and my mother."

"Is she still around here?"

I slowly nodded my head, "Endeavor had recently gotten into contact with her."

"Where is she at? Maybe you can restart something with her."

"I don't know, Overhaul."

"At least try. She deserves to know what happened."

I nodded my head, "I'll ask Endeavor where she is."

A couple of days had passed since my conversation with Overhaul. I had gotten in touch with Endeavor. He had told me that my mother was somewhere in Tokyo. Overhaul and I were going to head over there today. The other heroes knew not to call us if there was anything that had happened while we were gone.

"Ready to go?" I asked Overhaul once I had finished getting ready.

"Yep," he said.

"You're going to wear your surgical mask?"

"You know how I get with the outside," he said.

"Yeah. Sorry."

"It's fine."

We walked out of the apartment and headed to the train station. It wasn't the best way of transportation, but it was something we had right now. No one was willing to drive us all the way to Tokyo and back. Besides, I didn't know how long I was staying with my mother. We got on the train and we slept the entire way to Tokyo. When we arrived, we got off of the train and saw All Might was there. He was waiting for us.

"All Might?" I asked and walked up to him.

"Sorry I didn't tell you earlier, but Endeavor told me you were planning on seeing your mother. I know where she is so I might as well lead you to her."

"Thank you, All Might," I said and we followed him. We walked into a very rich area. After my father had passed she was seeing a man who I had no desire to talk to. All Might walked over to one house and there was a gate. There was a small panel on the one side. There was a screen and someone appeared there.

"State your name and business."

"It's All Might. I talked to her on the phone."

"I see. Come on in."

The gates opened up and we walked in. We made it to the front and All Might ran the doorbell. The door opened and there were two kids running around All Might. Someone walked up to the door. He was wearing a suit and had an annoyed look on his face.

"Sorry about the kids. Kids, get back inside right now."

The kids ran back inside and the man opened the door for us.

"All Might, so good to see you," he said.

"Nice to see you," All Might said.

"You must be Y/N," he said and smiled at me. "We've seen a lot in the news."

"You have?"

"Who is this gentleman?" he asked and looked over at Overhaul.

"Kai Chisaki," Overhaul said. "Pleasure to meet you."

"You must be that new hero everyone is talking about! You're name is Overhaul, correct?"

"Yes."

"Y/N, your mother is waiting for you. Come."

We followed the man to an office. Overhaul and I walked in while All Might went to talk with the man. My mother was reading a magazine. There was a picture of Overhaul on the front cover.

"Be a dear and close the door," she said without looking up. Overhaul quickly closed the door and walked beside me. My mother set the magazine down and looked over at me. I was shaking as I looked back at her. Overhaul came over and did the best he could to comfort me without showing we were together.

"Y/N, it's been too long. Please, sit."

We both sat down and Overhaul looked around the room.

"Who is this, Y/N? I thought you were coming alone."

"This is Kai Chisaki."

"Ah yes, the gentleman on the front cover of every magazine and newspaper for this month's release. Everyone is talking about how you could be the new number one hero."

Overhaul nodded his head, "So I've heard."

"What's with the mask? Why don't you take it off."

"I'd rather keep it on, please."

"I understand. Japan's air is not the cleanest. I'm surprised you don't have one on, Y/N."

"I'm ok."

"After all these years, why come see me?"

"Chisaki suggested I come see you."

"Are you a friend of her's?"

"I am," Overhaul replied.

"I see. You're a very good friend for you to come here. Wait, you're Overhaul, correct?"

"Yes, ma'am."

"Weren't you the one who was a villain before you became a hero?"

"Yes, ma'am."

"Y/N, why do you trust this man?"

"Can we discuss that later? Can we talk about how you're living in a mansion?"

"That man that greeted you. That is your step-father."

"Why didn't you tell me you got remarried? Why wasn't I informed?"

"You were too busy with becoming a hero to even have a second thought about your mother."

"I was too busy? You were too damn busy with whatever the hell you were doing! Endeavor and All Might had to be my prime caretakers while you were nonexistent in my life!"

"Y/N," Overhaul said.

"I spent so many years hating myself because I had a quirk. I spent so many years suffering because of who I was. I had such low confidence and such low self-esteem that when I entered U.A., I was overwhelmed by how the kids there had such high confidence and such high self-esteem. I didn't know what to do and All Might was the only one who helped me because he was there while you weren't!"

"Y/N," Overhaul said.

Tears streamed down my face as I stared at my mother.

"You don't deserve to be the mother of those two kids."

"Y/N, there is something I would like to say," she said.

"What?" I asked.

"While I was not there for you, I was there for your step-sisters."

"So?"

"The reason I am telling you this is because they have quirks. Your step-father has a quirk as well. Not only do we all have quirks, but I learned to accept that people have quirks these days. I wasn't ready to accept that my little girl was going to be trained to be a hero and possibly lose her life. I wasn't ready for that. While your father took care of you, I learned how to deal with possibly losing you. I wasn't ready when I lost your father. Now that these two girls have quirks, I am more prepared with possibly losing them if they do become a hero like their big sister. One more thing I must tell you, Y/N. I am very proud of you."
