I sat out on the cliff and looked over Hosu City. It was beautiful at night. I needed to get out of the warehouse since it was too stuffy. I needed some fresh air. I heard the door opening up and I looked over my shoulder to see Overhaul walking towards me. He sat down next to me and looked at the city.

"Pretty, isn't it?" he asked.

"I guess. Of all people, you'd be the last person to say Hosu was pretty."

"I may be a villain, Sun-Destroyer, but I am still human. Yes, I have malicious intents, but deep down, there are things I still love."

"Like what?"

"Going out every once and a while to get something other than market food. Walking down the streets and admiring the beautiful city. Looking at the city lights with someone."

"Again, you'd be the last person to say those things."

"You may see me as a villain, but there are times where I wish I could walk down the streets and not have anyone run in terror. Sometimes, I wish I didn't have this quirk."

"Why is that?"

"I have done bad things with this quirk, but there was a time when I had used it on accident." (I don't know much on Overhaul's backstory, so this is made up.)

"Such as?"

"When I was younger, I had a brother who would get on my nerves. Of course siblings get on each other's nerves, but there was one day he angered me to the point where I had punched him. With just one punch, his entire body exploded. That was when I had found out my quirk was disassemble. However, before any major punishments happened, I reassembled my brother, but in my own image. He was still my brother, but he never treated me badly and my parents thought it was him maturing. It wasn't until later they found out about my quirk. My mother left my father and took my brother with her. My father blamed me for my mother and brother leaving. He would beat me once I had gotten older. I had enough of it and almost used my quirk on him. I threatened his life if he didn't stop what he was doing. He left me to defend for myself."

"I'm sorry that happened to you."

He shook his head, "Don't feel sorry for me because I ended up being a villain. I could of used this power to help heroes, but because of my upbringing I was turned into a villain."

"You know, Overhaul, you're not as bad as you seem to be."

"You're not bad yourself."

I smiled and looked out at the city, "How about we head out tonight?"

"They're going to know me."

"Then take off your mask. If you walk about without your mask, I don't think people would know. Besides, we can always disguise ourselves."

"But that's what I want to avoid. I want to walk out and be myself. No one screaming in terror and no pro heroes to take me away."

"Then this is our time to do that. It's late and not a lot of people are out and about. We can go out there and hopefully not be seen if we're in disguise."

Overhaul looked a bit worried, but agreed. We walked back into the warehouse and changed out of our outfits. I threw on a t-shirt and jeans. I walked out and saw Overhaul was wearing a hoodie, jeans, and he had glasses as well as a black surgical mask.

"Are you ready?"

"A bit nervous," he said.

"Come on, you'll be alright," I said and went to reach to grab his hand. He pulled his hand back and shook his head, "I'm afraid I will use it."

"Can you control it to where it doesn't affect people you don't want it to?"

He nodded his head, "Yes, but I am just afraid I won't think about it and your hand will go flying off while we're down there."

"I understand," I said and walked over to the door.

"I'll be back, guys!" Overhaul yelled.

We walked out of the warehouse and headed down to Hosu.

"Don't refer to our villain names. I know it's going to be weird to say my actual name, but not a lot of people know what my actual name is," Overhaul said.

"Understood. You might want to put your hood up. Wait," I said and went into a store real quick. I came out and handed him a hat.

"What's this for?"

"For your disguise. It's better that you wear a hat than a hood."

He took it and brushed his hair back before putting the hat on.

"This feels weird."

"It's going to feel weird for a bit," I said. "You'll get used to it. Just don't take it off whatever you do."

We walked around for a bit until we stopped at a place that interested both of us. We walked in, got a table, and sat down. It was a small restaurant that had some customers. Since it was late out, there were not a lot of people on the streets. The waiter came over, got us drinks, and walked into the back.

"I never saw you without your mask," I said.

He scratched the back of his head, "You don't want to see."

"I would like to."

He reached up and only pulled it down just a little bit. I looked closely and saw there was a scar. (I also made this up. This is not actually real.) He removed his hand and shook his head.

"I don't like showing people what is underneath this mask."

"I understand," I said.

The waiter came back, got our order, and walked towards the kitchen.

"Is this like everything you imagined it to be?" I asked.

"It's a bit underwhelming."

"That's how it is when there is no continuous crime going on."

"Did you ever think you would become a hero?" Overhaul asked.

"It never occurred to me since I didn't discover my quirk until around the age of three. It wasn't until someone mentioned going to U.A. that made me think about becoming a hero."

It looked like he actually smiled behind the mask. I smiled to myself.
