I could feel the needles injecting into my arm and run deep into my veins. I gripped the edge of the arm so hard that my knuckles turned white. My teeth were clenched so hard that I thought I was going to break all of them. This wasn't even the beginning of the operation.
"Remember, if we fail, we can't go back. If we fail, it will stay as a failed experiment."
"So be it. If it fails, we will have to keep it here."
I looked over at a monitor that read my vitals. There was a computer in the corner that had the success rate displayed. So far, the success rate was at fifty percent. Whatever they were going to do was either going to kill me or save me. For they saw me as a dying species the moment I stepped into this facility. They wanted to 'save' me and 'preserve' my rarity. They flipped a switch and the tubes that were connected to my arms started to flow with the liquids held within the bags. As soon as one of the liquids made contact with my arm, I could feel heat and pain rising. I closed my eyes tightly and opened my mouth. I screamed as the pain kept increasing. The heat I could deal with, it was the pain I couldn't handle. They looked over at the computer and I glanced over. The fifty percent raised a little to fifty-five.
"Up the dosage!"
"Sir, we can't do that just yet. It will risk the patient's life."
"Up the dosage now!"
A few people that were there put more of the liquids into the bags and the flow became faster and faster. Once the liquids were finished, they added another substance that I couldn't really see. Once they were finished with that, they stopped the process and removed the needles. They put clamps onto my fingers and continued their dreaded experiment. Over two hours I had to endure this constant pain until the pain was no more.
"We're done."
My head was bent down and my chin was touching my chest. Sweat ran down my forehead and I could see the droplets drip onto my shirt. One even made its way into my eye. However, it didn't feel like I had gotten salt water from the ocean in my eye. It felt like nothing. My breathing had changed from heavy to light and calm.
"How are we feeling?" one of them asked me and went to touch me. As like the speed of sound, I grabbed their wrist and snapped it. The person yelled in pain and my head shot up. My eye was a raging inferno as I stared back at the person.
"What the hell did you do to me?" I asked in an enraged distorted voice.
The person, even though they were in pain, smirked at me. "We preserved your rarity."
"Bullshit!" I roared.
I jumped out of the chair and burst through the doors. I looked around at my surroundings. I needed to get out of here. That was the one thing that was on my mind. I looked to my right and saw there was a team of people with tranquilizers. I jumped over them and landed on the ground. I ran past another team and leaped over them. My speed and jump was enhanced. Reflexes were faster than any other human's. My strength overpowered a pro wrestler and my intelligence was greater than Einstein himself. My eyesight was so clear and strong I could see a human's singular pore from a mile away. I made my way towards the front and saw a large metal gate was closing. I ran faster, slid underneath the gate, and made my way out of the facility grounds.
"We lost it, sir."
"Get it back. Now!"
"You would do anything for me, right Nemoto? You wanted to see the Hassaikai succeed as well as stand by me. You would happily die for me and our cause," I said and touched his face. With my other hand, I touched mine and simultaneously disassembled our bodies and reassembled it quickly.
