The Imprisoned Hero

Chapter 46

"Hold on tight, Eri," I said as we skated out onto the ice. Overhaul wasn't bad at ice skating. At least he knew how to stay up on his feet. Eri was holding on tightly to both of our hands as we helped her keep her balance. We skated around for a bit until she got the hang of it. She skated a few inches away, but almost fell down. Overhaul had to catch her a few times since I was unable to reach her. We finished up with ice skating and walked around Hosu to see if there was any place where we could warm up. We found a small diner and headed in. We sat down at a table and ordered something hot to drink.

"What did you think, Eri?" I asked.

"It was fun. I just wish I could stand on the ice by myself," Eri said.

"With a bit more practice I'm sure you will be able to," Overhaul said. "Did you enjoy ice skating?"

She nodded her head, "I would like to do it again sometime."

"I'm sure we can go ice skating as many times as you want," I smiled at her. 

I looked at myself as I was getting ready. It wasn't a big wedding, but it also wasn't a small wedding. There were mostly pro heroes that Y/N knew. Since her mother was unable to walk her down the aisle, All Might was going to be the one since he was like a father figure to her. And since I didn't have many good friends, Deku was going to be my best man. Todoroki and Kirishima were going to be there as well. I was shaking so bad that I thought I was going to fall over. There was a knock on my door which caused me to jump a bit. I quickly buttoned my shirt and walked over to the door. I opened it up to see Eri was standing outside of the doorway.

"Someone wanted to see you before everything started," Momo said as she picked up Eri. Eri held out her arms towards me. I took her from Momo and held her.

"Thanks, Momo. How is Y/N?"

"She's really nervous. Uraraka and Tsyu are trying to calm her down," Momo said.

"Mommy wanted me to check up on how you were doing," Eri said.

Even though a year has passed since we had officially adopted Eri, she was slowly growing accustomed to calling Y/N her mother and me her father. 

"Can you tell mommy I'm doing alright?" I asked Eri.

She nodded her head. Before I set her down, she wrapped her arms around my neck. I hugged her and set her down. 

"I'll see you later, daddy," she said and waved.

Momo took Eri back to where Y/N was getting ready. I smiled and closed the door. I continued getting ready and sat on a chair as the minutes ticked by. Once it was time, I walked out of the room to see everyone was in their places. Deku was paired up with Momo. Uraraka was paired with Torodoki and Tsyu with Kirishima. Eri was behind Kirishima. I walked over to her and knelt down next to her.

"You remember what to do, right?" I asked her.

She nodded her head, "Wait until mommy comes out and then walk out before she does."

I nodded my head, "That's right. Are you excited, Eri?"

"Yeah. You're going to do great, daddy," she smiled.

I smiled at her, "I hope so."

I stood up once they started walking out. I walked towards the frame of the door and walked out. I walked in front of Deku and waited for Eri and Y/N. A few minutes had passed and Eri started walking down the aisle with her flower basket. Everyone in the audience thought she was so cute as the flower girl. She even had a small flower crown on her head. Y/N had made it before this day. I looked up to see Y/N walking down the aisle with All Might at her side. He had a huge smile on his face and so did Y/N. I walked down to meet them.

"I know I am not her father, but speaking on behalf of her father, take good care of Y/N," All Might said.

"I will, All Might," I said.

"You better."

He walked back into the audience and we walked up together. The priest came out and stood in between us.

"I am going to skip all of the boring stuff and get to the exciting part. I'm pretty sure all of you want to get to the reception?"

Everyone in the audience laughed. We both chuckled as we began.

"Chisaki, would you like to start your vows?"

"Yes. I, Kai Chisaki, take you, Y/N L/N, to be my wife. I will do everything in my power to take care of you. I will make sure no harm comes your way and all that is in your life is happiness and love. I will be there when you need me and will come to your side in times of comfort."

"Y/N?"

"I, Y/N L/N, take you, Kai Chisaki, to be my husband. I will do everything I can to make sure you're life is filled with happiness and love. I will do my best to bring out the best side of you there is. I will be by your side when you need me."

"May we have the rings?"

Eri came walking towards us with the rings on a small pillow. She handed them to me, which I took from her. I smiled at her and she ran back down towards Aizawa.

"Do you, Kai, take Y/N to be your wife as long as you two shall live?"

"I do."

"Do you, Y/N, take Kai to be your husband as long as you two shall live?"

"I do."

We both slipped on the rings.

"I now pronounce you, husband and wife. Everyone, meet Mr. and Mrs. Chisaki! You may kiss the bride."

I wrapped my arms around her waist while her's wrapped around my neck. Our lips met one another's and the crowd cheered. We parted and Eri was all of a sudden in the middle of us. I smiled, bent down, and picked her up. I held her in my arms as Y/N and I walked down the aisle hand in hand.
