The Imprisoned Hero

Chapter 56

I opened my eyes to see most of the pro heroes, Momo, Todoroki, Deku, Y/N, Eri, and Aiko all standing around my bed. I slowly sat up and looked at all of them.

"What happened?" I asked.

They showed me the news report of what happened between us and Re-Destro. Once it was finished up, I looked at all of them.

"I-I did that?" I asked.

"You did. You saved the world once again, Chisaki," Y/N said as she kissed my cheek.

"Yay, daddy! You're a hero!" Eri said and smiled at me.

I smiled at them.

"What happened with the others?" I asked.

"They managed to get Gigantomchia to calm down and dealt with him. He was half way to Tartarus when they stopped him. You're the only one who sustained any major injuries," Endeavor said.

"I know about my arms. What other injuries?"

"You have a scar over your eye from when Re-Destro pounded your head into the ground. You also have some very bad head trauma," Y/N said. "Recovery girl came in and took care of that part. Your bones were so badly broken that she healed them to the best of her ability."

I looked down at the casts that were around my arms. I felt useless now as the number one hero. I sighed and laid my head back.

"What's the matter, Overhaul?" Deku asked.

"What happens if there is any crime and they need me? I won't be able to do anything."

"Overhaul, you need to rest and heal," Y/N said.

"I know," I said.

"Daddy," Eri said.

"Yes, Eri?"

"Since you're going to heal, are you going to spend more time with us?"

That was when the realization hit me. Even if I was the number one hero, I had to be the number one hero to Eri and Aiko. Even if it means giving up on being the number one hero for just the time being. I nodded my head at Eri.

"You bet I will."

Eri had a huge smile on her face, "Yay!"

I smiled at her and she got onto the edge of the bed. She sat next to me as we all talked for a while. Around four, they had to leave since the doctors wanted to check on how I was doing. Hopefully tomorrow I would be able to leave the hospital and go back home. 

I walked out of the hospital to see Eri, Aiko, and Y/N waiting for me. I walked over to them and we headed back to the apartment.

"Aizawa gave me some dates to see when you are available to talk to his students."

"That's right. I almost forgot about that."

"You should also see what Cementoss did."

"What did he do?"

"I can't tell you. You're going to have to see if when you go there."

"Do you know when the dates are?"

"Not off the top of my head, but I have them written down."

We walked into the apartment and I took a look at the dates. I got back to Aizawa and told him I would do sometime this week. After figuring that out, the four of us spent time together. 

"Are you ready for today, Chisaki?" Y/N asked as she helped me get my tie on.

"I'm a bit nervous."
