"Momo, is there a way you can get the crowd to quiet down?" I asked her as we stood at the bottom of the staircase.
"Yes," she said.
"Do that quickly. I am going to turn out the lights again and hope you can get everything set up in time."
"Understood."
Using my quirk once more, I turned off all of the lights that were in the lobby. Momo ran out, created a few things, and came back.
"Are you ready?" I nodded my head. We headed out and I turned the lights back on. I was standing on top of the desk and looked at everyone. A lot of people were trying to ask me questions, but with what Momo created, they were silenced within a few seconds.
"I will answer any questions later. For now, what are you all here for?"
"We need to get news on you and Overhaul," said a news reporter.
"All of you are?" I asked.
"Yes," they all said.
I sighed, "Since it is the same story, I will only let one of you in my apartment."
Momo helped me choose who was the most trustworthy. I made sure the others left the apartment building before I led the news reporter to my apartment.
"What is your name, sir?" I asked him.
"Tokuda Taneo," he said.
"Nice to meet you. I'm Y/N L/N, otherwise known as Sunlight."
"We've heard a lot about you, Sunlight," Taneo said.
I opened my apartment door and Overhaul was in the guest room. He was sitting in there until I told him to come out.
"Nice apartment you got here," he said and looked around.
"Thank you," I said.
"Before we get to Overhaul, do you mind if I ask you a few questions?"
"I don't mind at all."
"You graduated with the other heroes such as Deku, Creati, Todoroki, Red Riot, Bakugo, and the others who were at U.A.?"
"Yes."
"What made you want to become a hero?"
"I wanted to help save those who are in need. I felt since no one was there for me, I might as well be there for people who needed me."
"Why is that? Why was no one there for you? I promise I won't put all of this in the newspaper."
"I don't feel comfortable saying why."
"That's ok. I understand. What other things can you do with your quirk?"
"I can control the light in the room or outside. I am able to manipulate it to make other things such as daggers, arrows, and other weapons that I might need to fight."
"That's neat," he said. "Now, Overhaul."
"Right. Would you like to speak with him?"
"I'd like to speak with both of you," he said.
I nodded and walked over to the guest room. Overhaul opened the door and walked out. He wasn't wearing his hero mask. He was wearing that black surgical mask. I guess he didn't want Taneo to see his scar.
"Ah, the man of the hour," Taneo said.
"Hi," Overhaul said. "You can call me Overhaul or Kai Chisaki."
"Nice to meet you, Chisaki," Taneo said. "I'd like to ask you a few questions while I am here."
"Of course," Overhaul said.
"Would you like anything while you're here?" I asked Taneo.
"Just some water would be nice."
I walked over to the kitchen to grab a glass. I poured some water in and handed it to Taneo. We sat down at the table and he began.
"How long did it take for you to become a hero?"
"Roughly five months. It was a rough five months since there was a lot pf physical and mental training."
"Mental training?"
"I had to reteach myself to use my quirk for good instead of evil. And when to use it."
"I see. Were there are restrictions on you?"
"I couldn't leave the apartment building."
"How did you train then?"
"There is a basement that I used. Y/N and Momo helped me with my physical training while Y/N helped me with my mental training."
"Very interesting. Y/N, this is a question for you. What made you want to help him become a hero?"
I told him what had happened when Overhaul had captured me. How I was saved and went with him to get information about his plan. Which then lead to me forming some kind of friendship with him. That lead me to saving him when he was fighting Endeavor.
"That is very fascinating. This is a personal question, which none of you have to answer, but are you just friends?"
"Yes," Overhaul said. "We're just friends. I am staying with her because I have no where else to go."
"I see. There is one more thing I need to tell you before I leave today. This isn't a question, rather informing you. Even though both of you aren't as experienced as the pros, there is still some good news. You both know about the rankings and who the number one hero is and such. Y/N, you have made history and made it to the number five position."
"What about the others?" I asked.
"Deku made it to number two, Todoroki is number three, Red Riot is number four, and Momo is number six."
"Who is number one?"
He looked over at Overhaul and smiled, "That would make you the new number one hero."
"He made it past Endeavor?"
"Well, that is the list of the new heroes. It will still take a while for Overhaul to pass Endeavor. But as of the new heroes that had just recently graduated, that is where you stand. Well, thank you for your time. Do you mind if I get a picture?" he asked as a camera lens came out from his hand.
We were both surprised by that, "Um, sure," I said.
We leaned towards him and smiled. Well, Overhaul couldn't really smile.
"Thank you for your time," he smiled and headed out. We both sat there for a minute and I turned towards him.
"Did you not want to let everyone know we were together?" I asked.
"I don't think the world needs to know that yet. Besides, if they know you're with the ex-leader of a yakuza, you might be ridiculed. I don't want that to happen to you, Y/N."
"I understand."
"I heard what you said to him before I came out. About there was no one there to help you. What happened to your mother?"
