The Imprisoned Hero

Chapter 53

Y/N was released from the hospital a few days later. I was in and out of the hospital since I had to deal with the League of Villains. Todoroki, Momo, and Deku all took turns taking care of Eri. I felt bad that I wasn't around to care for her, but I needed to get somethings taken care of with the League. 

I walked into Tartarus and walked down a few hallways. Everyone I had passed was silent and they cowered in fear. Some were even talking about me.

"Is that the number one hero?"

"I heard he can kill people with the touch of his finger."

"He can also recreate things if he wanted to."

"Disassemble and Reassemble? That's kind of overpowered if you think about it."

"No wonder he was dubbed the number one hero."

"I wonder if all crime rate will stop since he is the new hero. Since the League has gone under, there will be no villains who will be strong enough to be a formidable opponent to him."

I walked towards a door and opened it. I walked down another hallway before reaching a set of double doors. I pulled open the door and walked in. There was a table and chair set out for me. I took off my jacket and put it on the back of the chair. I sat down and looked over at Shigaraki. They still had his arms strapped together. His feet were strapped down to the legs of the chair. He had a huge grin as I walked in.

"Overhaul," he whispered.

"Tomura Shigaraki. Or should I say, Tenko Shimura."

"Do not speak of that name! Just like you, I discarded it."

"I didn't discard anything. Now, let's get into it. I don't want to be here for long."

"I see. You've got some place to me."

"Unlike you, I actually have a life I need to get back to. I can't put it on hold and play interrogator the rest of my life."

He smirked, "What will it be then?"

"I need to know why you wanted me."

"We were simply being paid and the League itself needed money. We didn't have everything we needed to survive. We were kind of going under."

"And now look at where you're at."

"Watch your tongue!"

"I don't have to watch anything. You're the one who is being held here."

"And you should have been in here as well! Y/N should have left you here and not thought of turning you into a hero. Since you were dubbed the number one hero, all of the villains who were planning to rise up are now going to disband."

"Better for me and the heroes. We don't need to worry about another All For One rising up."

"That's what I was going to be. I was going to be the new All For One and be the most dangerous villain out there. You could of joined me, Overhaul."

"There were rumors saying that villains were trying to convert me over if they captured me. Is that correct?"

"Those rumors were indeed correct. You were wanted by all of the villains that are out there. They wanted someone who was strong like you on their side. Ever since you killed your own people, they thought it would be a good idea to bring you in. You know, convert you back to your old ways. The ways of when you were a villain."

That reminded me of the other version of myself the night Y/N was about to give birth. I can still see its black eyes and hear its hissing voice. I shook my head and glared at Shigaraki. 

"I would never go back on what Y/N had taught me. It would be going at least three years backwards instead of forwards."

Shigaraki chuckled, "You're very loyal to her, aren't you?"

I moved my right hand over my left and felt the ring around my finger. I shouldn't be wearing it while I was on duty, but I never really took it off unless I absolutely needed to. 

"I'm more than loyal to her," I said underneath my breath. "Do you know how many other villains are out there?"

He thought for a moment, "Dabi was doing some recruiting before you nabbed all of us. Why don't you ask him."

I sighed and grabbed my jacket. I walked out of the room and headed over to where Dabi's was. I opened his door and saw him sitting on the floor. His hands were sealed in this box that either disabled him from using his quirk or the material was strong enough to resist his flames. 

"Look who it is," he sneered. "That bastard who tried to take the world by storm."

I set my jacket on the chair and sat down at the table. I put my elbows on it and put my hands together.

"Shigaraki said you were recruiting people before we got you. Tell me, how many more villains are out there?"

"Are you trying to eradicate the world of villains? I can tell you right now, you're not going to accomplish world peace. Not even All Might himself could do that. And he was the symbol of peace. Tell me, what kind of symbol are you?"

I glared at him, "All Might will forever be known as the Symbol of Peace. He took that title when he took the number one place for many years. I do not want to be a symbol of peace, but a symbol of fear for the villains. I want heroes to look at me and give me a symbol name. The people can do that as well. But for you villains, I want to be the symbol of fear."

Dabi chuckled, "That was so cheesy."

I leaned forward in my chair, "How many more villains are there?"

Dabi looked over at me and had a huge smirk on his face. "Why should I tell you?"

"Because I am the number one hero that needs to get rid of the villains. I need to know who I am up against."

He had this evil smile plastered on his face. "There are many more than you think."
