I looked up at the clouds as I outstretched my hand to the sky. I could feel the heat accumulating at my back as I fell down. Tears flew out from my eyes due to the high wind. I closed my eyes and waited for the impact to come. It wasn't hard, though. It was gentle and soft. I opened my eyes to see I had landed in a patch of grass. Or, was I just dreaming? I sat up to see there was an indentation in the grass as I laid there for who knows how long. I slowly got up, stumbling a bit. I looked around to see I had landed in a field. There was a road nearby and I started walking towards the road. However, some people were after me.
A bullet whizzed past my ear. It nearly nicked the top of it. I turned and saw there were people running towards me. They looked like agents working for the government. I panicked and started to run towards the road. I got onto the road and looked around, trying to see if anyone was nearby to help me. I looked behind me to see the people were still after me. I closed my eyes and I felt the rush of wind coming at my face. Before I knew it, I was almost a hundred feet up into the air. The ground was rushing past me as I was flying to safety.
"I thought there was no one like you!" someone yelled.
"While there are quirks that give people the ability to fly; however, there is no one out there like me," said a hero.
The person showed the hero a picture of a person flying into the air. The hero looked closely and looked at the person in disbelief. The hero shook his head and handed the person back the photo.
"That is not like me. I am known as the Winged Hero. I was born with wings attached to my back. That person, was not born with wings."
"Whoever that person is, we need to find them. Hawks, we need your help."
Hawks flipped down his glasses and gave the person a thumbs up, "You can count on me."
I landed in a strange place that had tons and tons of people walking around. I tried not to stand out, even though I looked like them. I looked at the ground and tried to keep myself hidden. All of a sudden, I bumped into someone. They looked pretty ticked that I had ran into them.
"Watch where you're going!" the person yelled.
"I-I'm sorry," I said.
"You should be!"
"People these days, am I right?" someone asked.
I turned around to see someone with a plague doctor's mask on. They had a calm look in their eyes, but something about their demeanor and the aura they gave off didn't fit. I trembled slightly as they walked towards me.
"Come with me. There is something special about you."
Since I had no where to go, I nodded and followed him. I followed him to a small house and towards a room that had two couches and a table in between them. I sat down on one while the man sat down across from me.
"Who the hell is she?" a little doll like thing asked.
"I will be getting to that, Mimic. Hold your horses."
"I have no patience for people who are not going to side with us. Or be useful to us," Mimic said and walked off.
"I don't mean to harm you," the man said. "I just want to get to know you better. We might have you work for us."
"Work for you?" I asked.
He nodded, "My name is Overhaul. The leader of the Shie Hassaikai. We were a once known yakuza organization, but since heroes started to rise, we were silenced in darkness. What about you?"
