"Are you ready?" I asked Overhaul.
He nodded his head, "Yeah. Wait." He grabbed his mask and put it on. "Now I am."
"Good."
We walked out of our room and towards the kitchen. Deku was playing with Eri.
"We'll be back, Eri," I said.
She got up and walked over to us. She hugged us goodbye and Deku said goodbye to us.
"Feel free to take her around Hosu," I said as we walked out.
We headed towards Kamino and Overhaul led me to where Makoto lived. We walked up to her house and he rang the doorbell. It was quiet for a few minutes before the door opened up. It was Tamaki who had opened the door.
"Mommy! Mommy he's here!"
Makoto walked over to the door and opened it up.
"I'm so glad you're ok, Overhaul," she said.
"Yeah," he said.
"Come on in. It's nice to see you again, Y/N," she said to me.
"Nice to see you," I said as we walked in.
"Tamaki and Haruka were devastated to hear the news about what had happened, Overhaul. They kept on asking me if there were any news update with you and asking if he was alright. They were pretty worried that their hero wouldn't be able to do hero work anymore," Makoto smiled at her kids.
"I can fully say I can still do hero work, but they know not to call me right now. They want me to make sure I am healing properly," Overhaul said.
"That's good that they want you to fully recover from what had happened," Makoto said.
"If they would of called and asked for him, I would of told them no. That he needs time to heal," I said.
"It's a good thing that the community of heroes know one another and they're up to date with the latest news with the other heroes. That is what I like about the community."
"I agree. And I've gotten to become good friends with some of the other heroes that had graduated from a different school other than U.A. They're very nice people and they also want to look out for other heroes and to make sure they're ok," I said.
"Heroes are special," Makoto smiled.
"Do your kids have any quirks?" Overhaul asked.
"Only Tamaki. Tamaki has the ability to shape shift. He can turn into anything and any animal. He has to see it mentally in his mind for him to able to do that."
"Show us what you got," Overhaul said as he looked over at Tamaki.
"Haruka always wanted a dog when we were younger. Mom is not a fan of dogs, but when I learned about my quirk," he said and turned into a dog.
"Can you still talk like a human?" Overhaul asked.
"Sure can," Tamaki said. "Sometimes if I am not focused enough, it will come out as a bark."
"I see. Very cool," Overhaul said. "What other animals can you do?"
He turned into a tiger, then a bear, and finished it with a lion. He turned back into a human and smiled at us.
"A very useful quirk," Overhaul said. "Can you do it with mythical animals?"
He nodded his head, "Just as long as I know what it looks like."
"Can you do any so far?"
"Not at the moment. I want to learn how to change into a manticore."
"I look forward to seeing you in the future," Overhaul said.
"Before you head out, can we get a photo with you?" Tamaki asked.
"Of course," Overhaul said.
Tamaki and Haruka ran up stairs real quick and came down with their homemade masks that looked like Overhaul's. I could tell that touched Overhaul's heart. They put their masks on and Overhaul walked over to them. He knelt down and I took their picture.
"Can you sign them?" Haruka asked.
"Of course," Overhaul said. I handed him a sharpie and he signed their masks. They were excited that they got to see Overhaul.
"Can we see your quirk in person?" Tamaki asked.
He nodded and we walked outside. He got onto the ground and knelt down. A platform came up from the ground and he stood above them. He touched the ground once more and a large platform came up from underneath them and it stopped when it reached Overhaul's height. He touched the ground once more and he formed a slide that was attached to the platform Tamaki and Haruka were on. They slid down to where their mother was and Overhaul disassembled his platforms.
"That was awesome!" Tamaki said.
"Thank you again for coming, Overhaul. It was nice getting to see you again, Y/N. Thank you for giving this opportunity to them," Makoto said.
"It was no problem."
"Mommy! Mommy! Can I tell my class about this?" Tamaki asked.
"You're going to have to ask Overhaul."
"What is it for?" Overhaul asked.
"It's for show and tell next week," Tamaki said.
Overhaul nodded his head, "Of course you can tell them about this."
"Thank you!" Tamaki said.
"What do you say, Haruka?"
"Thank you," Haruka smiled.
We said goodbye to them and headed back to the apartment. I looked over at Overhaul and reached down and grabbed his hand. His hand intertwined with mine and I leaned into his shoulder.
"You're very good with kids," I said.
"Is that surprising?"
"No. I just never really thought you would be good with kids," I chuckled to myself.
We walked back into the apartment to find Deku was asleep on the couch and Eri was curled up next to him. I smiled and took a quick photo.
"We should let them be," I said.
"What do you want to do then?" he asked.
I looked over at the kitchen and saw there were a few dishes in the sink.
"They must have eaten while we were out. Want to head out somewhere?"
"Sure. Let me exchange masks real quick," he said and walked over to our room. He walked back out with his black surgical mask on.
"Ready?" I asked him.
He grabbed my hand and nodded, "Yep."
We walked out of the apartment room and I locked the door. We exited the building and walked into downtown to get something to eat.
