The Imprisoned Hero

Chapter 10

I walked over to the trap door to meet with the others. Overhaul walked towards us and straightened out his jacket. He pushed aside the box and removed the keys from his pocket. He unlocked it and Chrono was the first to head down. After Chrono was Mimic and then the other members went down.

"After you," Overhaul said and gestured to the trap door. "Ah, before you go, put your mask on. Chrono made some modifications last night to better suit you." He picked up the mask that was set on one of the boxes. It resembled Overhaul's, but there were these goggles that went with them.

"They kind of look steampunk."

"I think that was what Chrono was going for."

I put the mask on followed by the goggles. I put them on my forehead so if I need to pull them down, they were right there. I climbed down the ladder and Overhaul followed. He closed the trap door and met up with the rest of us. He led the way down the tunnel and into another one. Before we knew it, there was a door leading to the outside. He unlocked it and we all got out. He locked it behind us and he led the way to Kamino. Once we were there, we made our presence unknown for now. I think Overhaul wanted us to have a grand entrance.

"Mimic should almost be done with placing the explosives," Chrono said.

"Good. When he gets back here, we're going to detonate them," Overhaul said.

Mimic arrived and handed Overhaul the button that will set them off. He looked at it, but then handed it to me.

"This will be your first act as a villain. You better not falter, regret, or freeze whenever you push this button. You signed up for this when you took your new name," Overhaul said.

I nodded and took the button from him. I held it in my hands and looked at it. Do not falter. I was about to push it. Do not regret. I took in a deep breath as I was about to do it. Do not freeze. I pressed the button and closed my eyes. There was a loud bang coming about four or five blocks from us. I opened my eyes to see a building had blown up. People were running and trying to take cover from the falling debris.

"Let's go," Overhaul said and ran into the crowd. He made his way through and the other gang members followed. I got up and followed after them. I pulled down my goggles and ran after Overhaul. Once there was a clearing, we all stood near one another to see the destruction I had caused.

"Everyone, surround Sun-Destroyer. Once the pro heroes have seen we turned one of their own, they're going to get a punch to the face," Overhaul said.

Within minutes, there were pro heroes in the area. They were inspecting the building and see who had caused it.

"Rappa and Hojo, you know what to do now," Overhaul said.

They jumped into action and fought the pro heroes. While they were distracted, another group of heroes came on to the scene. It was Deku, Todoroki, and Kirishima. Bakugo was no where to be seen. Deku noticed Overhaul and ran towards him. He was about to punch him, but he backed away and cued me. I looked at Deku and blinded him and Todoroki. They were thrown off and one of the gang members knocked Deku into the ground. Todoroki was taken down and they held both of them on to the ground. We still had Kirishima to take care of. Kirishima was about to attack Overhaul, but he stuck his hand out and made contact with Kirishima's arm. It flew off and landed a few feet from me. Kirishima fell on to the ground in pain. He yelled out and squirmed on the ground. I could feel what he was feeling.

"Go get their samples while I get his," Overhaul said.

I walked over to Deku and knelt on the ground next to him. Since I had goggles, a mask, and a hood covering who I was, he looked up at me.

"Are you some sort of new recruit?" he yelled at my face.

"I think you know who I am," I said and disguised my voice.

He looked confused. I made a light dagger and his eyes widened. He knew I was with Overhaul, but I didn't think he expected me to actually fight him. I grabbed a handful of his hair and cut it off with the light dagger. I put it in a bag and walked over to Todoroki. I did the same thing to him and I reconvened with Overhaul.

"You got the samples?" he asked.

I showed him the bags full of their hair. He nodded and took them from me. He placed them in his pocket and turned to the others.

"Let's go! We got what we needed," he said. He walked over to where Kirishima's arm landed. He picked it up and reattached it to Kirishima. Once he was finished, he ran off.

We all headed back to the base. While we were running from the site, I watched as Todoroki and Deku looked confused at me. I turned away and ran with the others. I knew if I stood there much longer, I would go back to help them. But I am, for now, against them.

Once we entered the base, Overhaul walked over to the desk and turned the light on. He took out the samples and placed them in something. He hid the bags somewhere in the desk and turned towards the gang.

"Good news. With the samples we have, we're now able to get rid of these quirks. And with the help of someone I know, we're now able to stunt them in order to obtain their quirk."

"Stunt them?"

"They will no longer activate for a period of time. While they can't activate their quirk, we're going to remove it from them."

The gang seemed to be happy by this. I just stood there, understanding what I had just done now.
