I walked into the store to get away from the cold, howling wind. I had to meet up with Y/N in a few minutes so I had to get this and leave as soon as possible. Eri was back with Aizawa for the day. I pulled down the scarf that was over my face and revealed my mouth. This was one of the first times I had left the house without my surgical mask. Since the scarf was covering my mouth, it wasn't so bad. I almost sneezed when I walked into the store with how much perfume and cologne there was in the air. It was pretty irritating. I walked over to the front desk and someone walked over to help me.
"I had ordered something online a couple of weeks ago," I said.
"What is the name the order is under?" the person asked.
"Kai Chisaki."
They typed something into the computer and walked into the back. They came back out with a box and showed me what was in it.
"Just want to make sure this is what you ordered."
"Yes."
"Good. Seems like you already paid. So you're all good to go," they said. "Do you need a bag?"
"No," I said.
"Alright. Thank you," they said and handed me the box.
"Thanks," I said and placed it in my pocket. I pulled the scarf back over my face and walked out into the cold. Since the weather had gotten colder, I had to get a new coat and some other articles of clothing to help combat the cold weather. I stuffed my hands into my pocket as I walked over to where I was meeting Y/N.
I watched him as he walked across the street and over to where I was. I was a bit nervous, but I was also freezing. He walked up to me and sighed.
"So damn cold out here," he said.
"Let's get going. The place where we need to go is not far from here," I said.
We walked down a couple of roads before entering a huge building. Inside there were people walking around, sitting on benches, and talking to other people. We walked over to an open window and talked to that person. We had been there about a week ago discussing a few things with some people. The person handed us an envelope and we walked back out into the cold. We quickly made our way to the apartment and headed inside. Once we made it inside the building, Overhaul pulled his scarf back as he took a deep breath. I opened the door and set my things down. We had about another hour before we had to go pick up Eri.
"Do we have everything set up for tonight?" I asked Overhaul.
"The tree is up. I will get the lights set up," he said as he put his surgical mask back on.
"Ok. I need to get the ornaments out of the closet," I said and walked into our room. I opened up the closet and moved a few things out of the way. I grabbed a box and pushed it out to where the tree was. I had to move the TV to put the tree next to the TV and beside the balcony door. I helped Overhaul get the lights out and hung up in the apartment. Once I was finished, I was about to get ready to pick up Eri. When I was getting ready, my phone went off.
"Hello?"
"Y/N?"
"Hi, Aizawa."
"No need to come pick up Eri. I'll drop her off at the apartment."
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah. We'll be there in about five minutes."
"Ok. Thank you."
"No problem," he said and hung up.
I grabbed on some shoes and put my coat back into the closet.
"I'll be right back, Overhaul," I said.
"Ok," he said as he was finishing up putting on hanging the last light that went around the apartment.
"Don't forget to put the lights on the tree."
"I won't."
I walked out of the door and headed down towards the lobby. I waited there for a few minutes before Aizawa's car pulled up. I ran outside and helped Eri out of the car.
"Hi, Y/N," she smiled at me.
"Hi, Eri. Thank you, Aizawa."
He waved to me and drove off. We walked into the building and headed towards the apartment. We walked inside and I helped her take off her coat and shoes. She walked over to where Overhaul was. He was hanging the lights on the tree.
"Hi, Chisaki," she smiled at Overhaul.
He looked down, "Hi, Eri. How was it today?"
"It was fun! Mr. Aizawa taught me more about my quirk. Once we were finished, he got me this," she said and pulled out a small ornament. It was a small star. "Can we hang it on the tree?"
"Of course you can. Can you give me a moment, though? I need to finish putting the lights on."
"Ok. Can I help?"
"Y/N will have to lift you up in order to reach."
"I can do that," I said as I picked her up and set her on my shoulders. We got in the back and helped Overhaul wrap the lights around the tree. Once we were finished, Eri helped me put ornaments on the tree. She put her ornament on last. "Do you want to do the honors and put the star at the top of the tree?"
"Can I?" Eri asked.
"Of course you can."
Overhaul walked over and handed her the star. She held onto it as Overhaul picked her up and put her on his shoulders. He walked over to the tree and she placed it on the top.
"Yay!" she smiled.
Overhaul lifted her from his shoulders and set her on the ground.
"Now that we have the tree done, want to help me make some cookies?" I asked.
She nodded her head and walked over to the kitchen.
"Do you want to help, Overhaul?" I asked.
He nodded his head, "I would love to."
For the rest of the night, all three of us spent the time together making cookies. It was messy since Overhaul didn't notice how fast the frosting was coming out and accidentally got most of it all over the place. Eri had a fun time with the sprinkles. I smiled to myself as I watched as Overhaul taught Eri how to frost some of the cookies.
