The Imprisoned Hero

Deleted Chapter/Concept

A/N: So I had this idea, but I had completely dropped it while I was writing. Now I am going to make like a deleted chapter/concept for it. I hope you enjoy it! Also, this is placed after you take in Overhaul and train him to be a hero.

I stayed in the apartment as Y/N went to go do hero work and help clean up the mess I had made. It sucked staying in the apartment and not help clean up in the mess I had created. It would get done a lot faster if I was there to help out. That gave me an idea. It probably wasn't the best idea, but it was worth a try. I called up the police station and talked to one of the officers that programmed the anklet.

"Why should I let you take off the anklet?" they asked.

"This was my mess I made. I should at least be there to clean up. It will be my first showing that I can become a hero."

"Don't think I will let you because I won't."

I sighed, "It was a long shot anyway, but I truly want to show the public that I can become a hero."

"Hold on a second, Overhaul," they said and put my on hold. I waited for about ten minutes before they picked up. "I talked to a higher up. They said you can, but Momo will be escorting you over to the clean up site."

"Thank you," I said. They explained how to take off the anklet and Momo arrived a few minutes later. She had a look on her face that showed she was still getting used to me.

"I have my orders that if you try to hurt anyone, is to kill on sight."

"I will be in front of you the entire time," I said and walked out of the apartment. 

We walked down to the clean up site and there were people walking around trying to clean it up in a timely manner. I walked over to one part that they haven't touched. I pressed my hand onto the ground and thought of what it looked like before that big fight. I still remember what had happened, but Y/N doesn't know what had happened. I fixed that part of the street, but when I stood up, there were people who were giving me disgusted looks. Some of them were whispering under their breath. I could hear it from where I was. They were wondering why I wasn't in jail for what I had done. I ignored them and walked over to a building that was damaged.

"Sir, please, do not touch this building," said the owner.

"I am just going to fix it. I am going to help you."

"Step away from the building! I will call the police on you!"

"Don't bother," said a police officer as they walked up to us.

"Tell this bastard to get off of this property and to let the heroes handle it!" the owner yelled.

"We got a call about ten minutes ago that Overhaul will be helping with clean up duty since his quirk can reassemble as well. Please let him do his job. Remember, there are heroes and police here if he tried to trick us on getting out of house arrest."

The owner couldn't argue with the police officer and stepped aside. I walked over to the building and placed my hand on it. The cracks that formed and broken siding was replaced with new siding and the cracks were sealed up. I looked over at the owner and bowed to them.

"Thank you," I said and continued on.

"You better not show you ugly ass face around here again, you villain bastard!"

I sucked in a hard breath, trying not to let it get to me. I walked around to other areas and fixed them before going to the main clean up site. The heroes there were confused as to why I was there.

"Overhaul, what are you doing here?" Y/N asked.

"What I should of done," I said and reassembled the entire road and the surrounding area. The other heroes thanked me while others gave me awful looks.

"Since your work is done, we should be heading back," Momo said to me.

"Of course," I said and walked back to the apartment with Momo and Y/N.

We entered our apartment and I put the anklet back on.

"Why did you want to help us out there?" Y/N asked.

"I thought it would be a good first showing that I can become a hero. That people can rely on me to help and save them," I said. "Besides, I just wanted to see what kinds of damage I had done when I was there."

"What did happen? I didn't get to see it."

I brought out my phone and showed her a video from the news. It was when I had used Nemoto and conjoined our bodies. I used other debris to transform myself into an unworldly like monster. She looked horrified to watch as I fought Endeavor. The only way that got me out of there was Eraser Head blocked me from using my quirk. Once Endeavor had punched me and had me on the ground, he left the scene and that was when Y/N came in. That made it on local news stories as well.

"I-I didn't know that had happened," she said.

I looked down at my hands and was shaking, "I am a monster, Y/N. I don't know why you want to help a monster like me."

"Overhaul, I want to help you because you somewhat helped me."

"How was that?"

I showed him my fingers, "For one, you didn't take off my fingers and you gave me my arm back."

He chuckled slightly, "I guess you could consider that helping you. But all I did was torment and torture you. Not to mention Eri."

"Overhaul, you were a villain back then. Now it is your transition period to becoming a hero. You were a caterpillar now turning into a beautiful butterfly."

I smiled and she hugged me. I hugged her back.

"Thank you, Y/N."

"You're welcome, Overhaul."
