"So that's why you wanted that certificate under your name," I said as I washed the dishes with Eri's help.
"I had it all planned out," Chisaki said.
"You always do," I said as Eri handed me another plate. I washed it and she dried it.
Once we were finished, Overhaul picked up Eri and walked into her room. We said goodnight to her and walked into our room. I closed the door and Overhaul got changed in the bathroom while I changed. I finished up and laid down on the bed. He came in once he was finished and turned off the light. He got into bed and wrapped his arm around my waist.
"Goodnight, Y/N. I love you."
I smiled, "Goodnight, Chisaki. I love you, too."
"So, you two are together afterall."
I stared back at her through the glass. She had a dimly lit room since she could possibly blind people with her quirk. She wouldn't get anywhere, but she might do that for shits and giggles.
"What you did only make us stronger. Not only as friends, but as lovers," I said.
"Guess my plan failed after all. The League will still find him and turn him back into what he once was."
"I doubt that now since he has to be a hero for not only me, but for Eri as well."
"I see. You did take her in."
"She is our daughter. What you did to Overhaul and I is unforgivable. I don't want my daughter to see how bad of a person you are."
"Why is that?"
"So that maybe one day, you can have a relationship with her. Unlike what you did to me," I said and grabbed my jacket from the back of the chair. I put it on and turned to look at her before leaving. "Even though you did terrible things to me, you're still my mother. I want my daughter to at least see the good side of you. Think about that while you sit in there for another ten years."
I pulled open the door and walked down the hall. I walked past the room where Overhaul was in. He was talking to one of the members we had managed to catch. He was trying to get info out of him. By the way Overhaul was sitting, I could tell we weren't getting much. Since we were doing this, Deku had to watch after Eri until we got back. I wanted to make it up to her.
We were in the middle of watching Eri open her gifts when both of us got a call to come in to Tartarus. The guards said that we were granted access to the people that were involved with the incident at my mother's mansion. It had been a while since that happened, but they said it was for only today and we had to come quickly. I remembered seeing Eri's face when we told her. I didn't want to leave her, especially on a day like Christmas. I walked out of Tartarus and back towards the apartment. I at least wanted to be with her until Overhaul got back.
I pulled out my keys and unlocked the door. I walked in and saw Eri was coloring with Deku on the table. I smiled and closed the door. She was talking to Deku about what happened last night. I walked over to them and sat down.
"Thanks for looking after Eri, Deku."
"It was no problem. I like seeing Eri every now and then," Deku said. "I'm going to head out, Eri."
"Bye, Deku!" she said and waved goodbye to him. Deku waved goodbye to her and walked out of the apartment.
"Where did you go, Y/N?" Eri asked.
"Chisaki and I went to Tartarus. That is where they keep the bad people from getting out. My mother is a not so good person, however, I wish for you to see her and look past what she has done. Like how you looked past Chisaki and what he had done. A lot of people are capable of change, but my mother will not accept change."
"Can I meet her?" Eri asked.
"One of these days you will. I'll take you over to see her."
"Where's Chisaki?"
"He's dealing with a villain that is locked up. He needs to figure out which villains are trying to hunt him down."
"Why are they doing that?"
"I guess they saw Overhaul as the next All For One. The next supreme villain. They want to change him back into a villain so they have that supreme villain to look up to and aspire to be."
"Like how All Might was?" Eri asked.
"Just like how All Might was. However, Chisaki does not want to return to being a villain. Becoming a hero had given him so many things to be thankful for. Like you and me. He is very thankful that we're both in his lives. If he would of remained a villain, he would probably be sitting out the rest of his days in Tartarus. Now he can fight the people who are trying to harm the two most important people in his lives."
"Y/N?"
"Yes, Eri?"
"Would you prefer if I called you mom and Chisaki dad?"
"It's up to you and if you're comfortable with saying it. We won't force you to call us mom and dad. If you're uncomfortable with saying it, it's alright. You can take your time with calling us mom and dad. It took me some time to get used to calling Overhaul Chisaki. I guess you just have to get used to it."
She nodded her head, "When is he coming back?"
"He should be coming back soon," I said as he opened the door.
"I'm back," he said and walked over to us. "Hi, Eri."
"Hi, Chisaki," she smiled.
"Since we missed out on this morning, we're going to make it up to you Eri," I said.
"You don't have to."
"We want to. We want to make this day special for you," Chisaki said.
"What did you have in mind?"
"How about we go ice skating?" I asked her.
She smiled and nodded her head, "That sounds good."
