The Imprisoned Hero

Chapter 29

 A couple of weeks had gone by and my relationship with my mother was steady. I knew she was hiding something and I needed to figure out what she was hiding and fast. Unfortunately, since she was a clever one, she left no trace of what she was doing out and about. Although, I had caught her one day when I went over there. My mother is a very clean woman and if there is even one spec of dust, she will clean everything in the room. I saw on her desk there was a small pile of dust particles. I took note and said nothing while I was visiting her. She might have seen me catch that, but she didn't say anything either.

I was walking back into the apartment building and stopped to get the mail. I didn't look through it until I made it into my room. Overhaul was sitting on the couch and watching the news. They were showing footage of one of the minor villains that was running around. Iida and Uraraka were there to take care of him. Deku came flying by in another shot someone was recording.

"Did they catch him?" I asked when I walked in.

"They did. He's going to prison now," Overhaul said.

I went through the mail and saw there was something from my mother. I opened it up and saw it was an invitation. I read through it and saw it was a masquerade party. It was a bit suspicious, but if that meant I find more information, I was willing to go.

"Hey, Chisaki," I called him over.

"Yeah?" he asked and got up. He walked over to me and I handed him the invitation. He read it through and slowly nodded his head.

"She might try to do something. Think of it. If its a masquerade party, then people are hiding their faces. If your mother is doing anything to harm us, those people are going to be masked and we won't know who they are. It's a perfect set up to do something."

"I know. While I was over there today, I saw a small pile of dust. My mother is normally a clean person when it comes to dirt and dust."

He nodded his head, "Dust."

"It has to be the League. There is no other villain I know that can turn things into dust."

"Shigaraki," Overhaul whispered.

"What do you think he wants?"

"I know he wanted me to become part of the league of villains. He might be working with your mother to get me in his hands."

"His multiple hands," I said.

Overhaul chuckled, "Yeah."

That night Overhaul and I got ready for the party. He put on his mask and took off his jacket. I put on some formal clothing and put the goggles on that I used for my hero outfit. We headed out to the station and got the train to Tokyo. When we arrived, Endeavor was there. 

"I see you got my message," I said to him.

"The others are on standby as of right now. They're all surrounding the area of the house as we speak," he said.

"Good. Make sure you don't make yourselves seen. Especially you, Endeavor."

"Noted," he said.

"I will let you guys know when you can move forward."

"Question, do you have your hero outfit underneath what you're wearing?" Endeavor asked.

"I do in case we need to do something."

"Good. I will get in position."

Overhaul and I walked towards the gates and they opened up. The entire front portion of the mansion was lit up with different colored lights. Cars were going in and out of the driveway. Overhaul and I made it to the stairs and opened the door. There were a huge crowd of people just by the doorway. We walked past them, trying to stay together.

"We need to stay together. They might try to drive us apart," I said.

"Got it."

We walked around, talked to a few people, and tried to have fun. Some of the people recognized Overhaul and talked to him. We headed towards the back of the room we were in, but someone got in between me and Overhaul.

"Grab him!"

"Hey, what the hell is this?" I yelled.

"Don't let him touch you!"

They grabbed me by my wrists and tried to stop me from touching them. They pulled me away from the party and dragged me into the room where Y/N's mother was when we first met her. They closed the doors and threw me towards the desk.

"What the hell is this?"

"Ah, look who we have here."

I turned around and saw Shigaraki was standing on the desk. Y/N's mother walked out from behind him with her head held high.

"You!" I yelled at her mother.

"I will say, I never really thought I was going to work with the League, but they were offering me money than any other yakuza."

"You gold digging bitch! You're just in it for the damn money!"

"That is not all. My daughter shouldn't be associating with someone with the likes of you."

"She was the one who changed me to be who I am today."

"Is that so? Despite you being a hero now, you will always be a villain."

Even though they couldn't see it, I was sneering at them. 

"Get him!" Shigaraki called out.

I was soon surrounded by the League. I knew I couldn't handle them by myself. I looked over to see Mr. Compress. I remembered him. He now had a prosthetic arm. 

"This is pay back, you son of a bitch," he said.

Before I knew it, I was compressed into a small ball.

"We got him," Shigaraki said.

"Now what?" Mr. Compress asked.

"We show Y/N."

I walked around trying to find Overhaul. Since there were so many people, it made it even harder to find him. As I was looking, someone tapped me on the shoulder. I turned around to see it was Overhaul.

"There you are. I was looking all over for you."

"Where did you go?"

"That's not important. Follow me. I need to show you something that I found."

I followed him cautiously until he stopped in a hallway. I looked around and saw there were people walking towards us.

"Good job, Twice," someone said.

I looked over and saw the Overhaul I had followed here was nothing but goo. I sighed and looked at who I was facing. It was the League. 

"What do you want? Where's Overhaul?" I asked.

Mr. Compress opened his palms and there were two small orbs in his hands, "One of them is Overhaul while the other is nothing."

I looked at them closely and choose the one in his left. He seemed to be more protective of the one in his left hand. He threw me the one that was in his right. It landed in my palm and it was his glove. I looked up and saw there was this mass of purple surrounding them.

"Get us out of here, Kurogiri!" Shigaraki yelled.

The League stepped into the mass of purple. 

"No!" I yelled and ran after them.

I nearly missed Mr. Compress and the purple mass disappeared. I stumbled and almost fell onto the ground. My mother ran over to me with a confused expression on her face.

"What happened?" she asked.

I looked up at her. I was seething with anger.
