Standing in front of the door to Amy's meeting room, Paladin sighed deeply. He then shook his head, thinking about how it came to this.
Damn him. Rabbit ruined that meeting, a meeting that was going along so perfectly with Amy unifying under the banner of the Inquisition, and Crazy willing to negotiate. If Rabbit didn't berate Amy with such uncalled for and terrible words, then we would've had the two Kingdoms unified under our banner already.
"Paladin, what are you planning to do?" Messiah asked.
Paladin turned to look at his left. Standing to his left was Messiah, Archer, and Noxious. The three of them were patiently waiting for Paladin to give them an idea of what his plan was.
"My plan?" he asked.
"Yes, your plan. What is it?" Messiah asked.
"Well, my plan is simple. I'm going to go inside the meeting room alone, and I'm going to speak with Amy by myself," Paladin explained.
Messiah sighed, as he then crossed his arms while looking at Paladin.
"Are you sure that is going to be enough? Rabbit really did piss her off badly, I can tell because as long as I've known her, she's always been calm and collected. I've never seen her get pissed off like that before," Messiah said.
"It will have to be enough. I can't think of any other way to go about it, other than apologizing for what Rabbit did, and trying to get what Crazy asked for passed."
"I hope your plan works then Paladin--" Archer said as he looked at Paladin. "If not, then we're going to be stuck on this island. If I was to give you any advice, based off of the meeting I had with her. It is likely that she already knows what you're attempting to do," Archer said.
"Noted," Paladin replied.
"Don't mess this up Paladin. It goes without me saying anything, but I'll be extremely pissed off if what I surrendered was all for nothing," Noxious said.
"If my history says anything--" Paladin spoke as he turned to look at Noxious. "Then it won't be for nothing. Your sacrifice won't be in vain."
"Good, because I hope to visit a few more brothels in the Capital City when we get back," Noxious replied.
Paladin smirked. He then turned his head, and he grabbed onto the handle of the Meeting room door in front of him, as he then opened the door and walked inside. Messiah peeked inside the room while the door was open. He could see Amy sitting on the other end of the table, with her back turned to the door. When Paladin shut the door behind him, Messiah turned to Noxious and Archer. Who were both shaking their heads.
"In all seriousness, fuck Rabbit," Archer said.
Messiah and Noxious nodded their heads, agreeing with the sentiment.
"If it wasn't for the Crimson Kingdom, I'd probably would've killed Rabbit already. Even before in the other world, he was always so damn spiteful. He sabotaged Paladin's efforts on purpose--"
"But, why though? What does he have to gain?" Noxious asked.
Messiah placed his left hand on the bottom of his chin, thinking of the possible reasons why Rabbit would want to sabotage Paladin and his efforts.
"Hmmm...well it is simple, I think," Messiah then took his left hand off his chin. "Rabbit nor Paladin have ever been on good terms, the two of them always would refuse to work with each other if they had the option--"
"But, Why though?" Noxious again asked.
"Rabbit is jealous--not of just Paladin, but all of us. He's jealous of Paladin because of what Paladin accomplished, Paladin being able to do something he couldn't do himself. He's jealous of me, because I'm able to lead and am given the chances to lead when he's stuck being the sidekick to Crazy. He's jealous of Omega for similar reasons, the one difference being Omega is able to put aside his own glory, for the sake of protecting others or dedicating himself to finding the criminal who committed a crime--"
