______

Chemistry notes.

Jungkook sat at the kitchen table looking down at the notebook that Hyun-Ji had given him. The front of it had been decorated with hearts and stars, and he smiled as he opened it.

How to make a Lewis Structure:

Step 1:
Relax! It's not that bad!

Step 2:
Find the total number of valence electrons

Step 3:
Find the number of electrons needed to fill the outer electron shell and make it happy...

She drew an atom with a smiley face in the margin.

He flipped through a couple more pages:

Math using scientific notation

Don't cry.
It's a lot easier than it looks. Don't let the exponents freak you out.

Add or subtract the first part of the number.

(this part only) -> 1.1 x 10^3

Leave the second half and the exponents alone.

1.1 x 10^3 <- (leave that the same)

That's it.

Need to multiply them?

Multiply the first part and add the exponents.

Need to divide them?

Divide the first part and subtract the exponents.

That's literally it.

She had doodled in the margins of this page. In fact, most of the pages had something written in the margins:

'You'll do great!'

'Blueberry is kicking me too hard. I'm calling the police.'

'This module was hard for me so I hope this made sense.'

'I love you.'

Even on paper, she was being his cheerleader. She took the time and effort to do this for him,  believing in him when he didn't even believe in himself, helping him when she could have spent the time resting because pregnancy was tiring and hard on her body.

His eyes started to burn.

He kept flipping through the pages, trying his best to read through the moisture that was starting to flood his eyes, trying unsuccessfully to blink it away. Refusing to let her efforts go to waste, he continued to read while wiping the tears away with his shirt, until his heart couldn't take anymore.

He hadn't even gotten to the center of the book.

With heavy shoulders, he walked up the stairs and turned on the light in the nursery. Once again, the old color had seeped through the new one, making it look dirty, and Jungkook sighed in frustration.

What was he doing wrong?

Just like the previous times, he changed into some old clothes and poured paint into the paint tray. He loaded up a new roller and began to apply a fresh coat. As he moved the roller in a zigzag pattern, he could already see the fine streaks of burgundy that would later show through when the paint dried.

He continued to paint, making sure he moved exactly how the associate in the hardware store showed him, making sure it wasn't his technique that was causing the problem.
It still looked the same.
