This was an amazing journey I took writing this book.

I came up with the idea when I heard Jungkook's cover of Purpose by Justin Bieber.

I had no prior knowledge this was by JB, nor that this was about him finding his religious path. I listened to the words and found my own interpretation:

It sounded like the way a parent feels towards their child. I thought, how awesome would that be if a young Jungkook became a parent and a song like this resonated with him?

And 40 weeks was born

Here were my thoughts while writing this book. I hope this gives you some insight or helps you in your own writing journey.

Week 0: The agreement

I had no idea of my character's personalities. I had just met them, just like you. But I liked them.

Week 1: The first time

I wanted this to be as delicate and awkward as possible because a lot of first time experiences aren't mindblowingly awesome. They suck sometimes. I wish I'd used more imagery tho...

Week 1-part 2: Hyun-Ji avoids Jungkook

Hyun-Ji's character flaws were created. She's avoidant. (Just like me ㅜ.ㅜ)

Week 2: Feelings start to develop

I love the push and pull of attraction, especially when the lovers are trying to deny their feelings.

Week 3: The agreement is carried out... again

I envisioned Jungkook being a post-orgasm giggler. Like, he would get really happy and smiley and kissy. Idk why. He just seems like the type to get euphoric after.
