~Freddie~

Ever since this morning I have been worried sick, the way he was, the way he was making that unearthly sound that somehow managed to hurt my insides, the way he was suffering and I couldn't do a thing to help him.

Enzo offered to take turns in watching over him so that I could get some rest and something to eat as I've only just recovered from the turture my body went through but I refused to leave his side.

Todd arrived about 20 minutes ago, he was not available to come this morning when we called as he had a situation at the hospital and for all that time I was worried sick over my boy, things for him have not got any better.

Todd places the stethoscope to his chest and listens to his heart, I bite my lip as I almost have to stop myself from pacing back and forth.

"I am afraid his heart is beating too fast for his body to catch up, his true form will be forcing itself through him in the coming weeks. It is time to tell him what he is Frederick, we cannot delay it any longer."

I scratch my head.

"Shouldn't his parents be telling him that?"

He sighs as he wraps his stethoscope around his neck, coming over to speak with me.

"Yes they should have, they have failed him. So it is time we step up to the mark and tell him, he needs to know."

The door to my room opens without warning, Cairo comes in holding a mug of coffee, looking around the room.

"Is he ok? It's just that I've got Jay here and he knows something is up and I don't want him bursting in here and seeing one of his closest friends looking dead on the bed like that."

Todd turns to him with a smile.

"Ah the vampire, it's a pleasure to finally meet you. I'm surprised in all my time of being around we haven't met, I am Todd the doctor."

I watch as my best friend frowns at him.

"That didn't answer my question."

I can't believe he is being so rude right now, I elbow him in the ribs and he fakes being hurt.

"Cairo! Don't be so fucking rude, Todd is the only one who can help Leto and I respect and trust him and that is the only important thing right now. Tell Jay that he come in if he wants to be here for a support to Leto, I'm sure Leto would like that."

He nods his head at me, then he backs out of my room not speaking another word while sipping his coffee.

Todd then turns to me.

"There is something I can try to do that can bring Leto out of this coma like trance, but I will need you to hold him down as this won't be pretty."

"Do it."
