~Leto~

After overhearing what my Mother had said to Tal about us being friends and going into adulthood and not eventually marrying and that men and women are not supposed to be friends, hearing that ticked me off but more than that was hearing my Mum say that Tal isn't even good enough to be my friend.

Tal has been my best friend and by my side ever since we were in nappies and neither of us have any romantic feelings towards each other and definitely do not have any intentions of marrying; plus I'm not entirely sure if I am completely into girls.

Sitting on my bed crossed legged with our hot chocolate in our hands facing each other, there is a look on my best friend's face that tells me my Mother's words have indeed wounded her no matter how much she is trying to put on a brave face.

She sighs as she takes a sip of her hot chocolate, not looking at me.

"Tal, look at me."

Eventually she reluctantly looks at me, chewing on her bottom lip.

"She's right Leto, we can't be friends and I am not worthy of you."

I roll my eyes.

"Shut up, do not listen to her as she really does not know what she is talking about."

She takes another sip from her mug, then looks at me with an annoyed look on her face.

"But she is right!"

"Why do you think she is then?"

She takes a big swig from her mug finishing it off, she then placed it on my bedside table.

"She said that to continue being friends into adulthood I would have to marry you but then she said that I am not worthy of you, she confused me until it started to make sense."

I furrow my brow.

"In what way does that make sense? Tal, she is the most selfish person I have ever known, I doubt even if I did decide to marry you that she would let me seeing as no one is worthy enough for her precious son."

She half smiles at me, a plan forming in her head as it shows all over her face.

"Lets run away and elope then."

I snigger and smack her knee.

"Don't say that! You are my best friend, nothing romantic could ever happen between us."

She smirks darkly at me.

"Yeah, plus I'm too hot for you."

I laugh loudly but then I turn serious.

"Tal there is something I need to tell you, now I am not completely sure of what I have to say but-"

She interrupts me with a squeal.
