"Don't try to fool yourself into thinking you didn't feel anything, Leto."
"I don't have to fool myself as I don't feel anything for you."
"Don't lie, don't make me do something I might regret."
"I doubt a creature...

~Leto~
"You know."
"Yes..."
Sitting on the sofa in a living room I have sat in a thousand times before, I somehow feel like a stranger in my own home, it feels like this place that I used to live in before no longer needs me.
My adoptive Mother sits across from me with my boyfriend sitting next to me with our hands still joined together, he sits so close to me as if to make a point that we are together, she stares at our joined hands.
"Where did you go? Your Father- sorry, Frankoise and I have been so worried about you, and seeing as you have come to the age where you would remember who and what you are, I was afraid you would be doing it alone. Please tell me you wasn't alone?"
I smile.
"Of course I wasn't alone Mum, I have had Tal and JJ and Manon and also-"
I looks at Freddie.
"I have had him with me, do you know who he is?"
Her face is unreadable.
"He isn't who he says he is Leto, he isn't your other half, he isn't who your lover was in your past life."
I frown, looking away from her and then at her again.
"What are you talking about? Of course he is, he's always been in my head, my Mother when she came to us even told me he is who he says he is."
She looks a little crazed, gripping the edge of the sofa.
"No, you are all mistaken. He was never meant to be a devil, because that is what he is, 'Halfdead' is just a fancy word for devil. Sweetheart, please believe me, you are so pure, you are an angel, you are perfect and he is lower than dirt, he belongs down in Edom with his wife!"
I feel him grip my hand, dying to retaliate but doesn't for my sake, I turn to her with tears surfacing.
"No, don't you dare speak about him like that. It doesn't matter what he is, he is and will always be with me, we are connected in more ways than you think and no matter what you do now I will always choose him."
She immediately stands up and looks down at us with her hands on her hips, she looks even more crazed and I don't know if I should run or hear whatever she has to say out.
"I won't let you be with him."
I hold onto his hand as tight as I can.
"Well I'm sorry, that is not your choice."
A grey mist surrounds her as she stands rigid.
"You are my son even if I didn't birth you, I will not let him taint you- from the looks of things and the smell you are both reeking of, my guess is that you are almost at the point of no return and also nearing your time of 'being together'."
