"Don't try to fool yourself into thinking you didn't feel anything, Leto."
"I don't have to fool myself as I don't feel anything for you."
"Don't lie, don't make me do something I might regret."
"I doubt a creature...

Sandwiched between Freddie and Cairo on the sofa with Jay sitting on the edge of the arm, while some rather pissed off frustrated angels sit on the sofa opposite us. We have been sitting in an uncomfortable silence for quite some time now, the air around us feels so thick I don't even think I can stand to be in this room anymore.
"Fuck it, what do you guys have as a plan?"
The three of them just sit there looking at each other with dumbfounded expressions, getting up I sigh rather loudly- probably unnecessary but at this moment I really don't give a fuck.
"Babe, try to keep it together yeah? We can all feel the electricity coming off of you and we don't want the Claiming to cover you right here right now."
"I can't feel it."
"Of course you can't, you are a mundane."
"Shut up."
I give out another sigh as I sit down between Freddie and Cairo again, accidentally whacking Cairo in the face with one of my wings, immediately I apologise to him feeling incredibly guilty. I then turn to them again, with an expression that shows that I'm fed up of all this waiting and fucking around.
"Zachariah, for the love of god...will you please start talking."
He looks up at me then, not really showing any signs of speaking. He then looks at Freddie, then Cairo and then finally Jay, then his eyes find mine again and I can sense that something is wrong.
"We do not feel comfortable, O'Lightmir."
"Why is that, Mercury? Lorna? Speak for yourselves."
They both visibly look uncomfortable, both deliberately not looking at me, only looking at anything but me.
Feeling a rage burning inside of me, I get to my feet as my wings flare out around me and I take a step towards them. They look up at me with slightly confused and frightened expressions, I push my power into them, not really knowing what I am doing. As I do it, I see them visibly shake and one after another, all three of them are almost forced to their feet, their own wings bursting out of their backs.
"Speak."
With shame coming off of her, Lorna meets my eyes and for the first time she really looks me over, gazing at me with such interest and in that moment I know she feels more for me than she would admit.
"O'Lightmir, please forgive me. The reason we have not spoken yet is because...both Zach and Mercury do not feel comfortable talking about such a sacred thing in front of your friends, seeing as two are downworlders and one a mundane. I on the hand, do not care as I see them as normal beings, but these two idiot males next to me obviously have a problem with them only because they are not of angel blood."
