I didn't want to do it but this morning just after Leto woke up I told him that I needed to head out to deal with something I needed to get information from, he seemed a bit out of sorts so I thought that was my que.
As soon as I left his hospital room I clicked my fingers together and my 7th letter appeared on his side table, I don't know exactly when or why I decided to start writing him letters but now I've started I don't want to stop.
Taking a quick trip back to my bunker to shower and get a change of clothes, I am greeted by my brother and my best friend who I have not seen in years.
My brother stands before me with his arms crossed over his chest, not liking too pleased.
"Where have you been? We've been here for two hours, you know she doesn't like to be left waiting."
"Who's we, Mr. Disappear Guy and you?"
My best friend gives me a big bright smile.
"Mimir! Fucking hell it's so good to see you."
Even though I am pissed at him, I could never stay mad at him and I end up smiling like a mad man.
"You left, remember?"
"Yeah sorry about that man, I had some unfinished business with a woman who shall I say is no longer with us."
I smirk as I playfully hit his arm.
"You sly dog, who's this woman you ditched me for for 6 years?"
He looks a little uncomfortable as he shuffles his feet and then he looks up at me.
"She's not a problem anymore."
"Meaning?"
I watch his face as it turns dark.
"Oh well, I ate her."
I grab onto his shoulder feeling immensely proud.
"Well done, your first proper kill in how long is it?"
His face goes unnaturally red, embarrassment showing all over him.
"Mimir...you know I never liked to kill them, with her it was different, it's going to sound creepy but I saw her and I just knew if I stayed around her long enough for her to unconditionally trust and 'love' me then I could swoop in and suck the life out of her when she was least expecting it. I don't know why I didn't do it before, with all the necks and other body parts I have sucked and drank from I have never wanted to kill them but this one was different, it felt like it was the right time."
"Naturally I am very proud of you, but there is one thing I gotta say is that you are one sadistic motherfucker, why wait? Why waste all that precious time on one mundane?"
My brother clears his throat unnecessarily loud as he stands next to us not looking too impressed.
"Cairo, Freddie, lovely reunion and all but don't we have to be somewhere?"
