~Leto~
I decided to meet Cairo around the corner of my house, I quickly got dressed and put my shoes on not long after the phone call I had with him.
Walking down the stairs is always a hard task seeing as my parents are actually home together for the first time in years, I manage to creep past where they are sitting in the living room to the front door, I open it to see rain coming down like someone has turned the taps on.
I groan inwardly to myself, why is it still raining? Even after all this time it is still bucketing down and I don't get why it feels like it's not natural weather.
"Leto, where do you think you are going in this weather?"
Shit, my Dad has obviously managed to hear me over my efforts of trying to be quiet as possible. Instead of answering him I quickly dash out into the rain, slamming it shut behind me, drowning out anything more he might have said.
Walking around the corner to where I'd said that I'd meet him, I can't see anything other than the rain pouring down so fast and thick, it hurts my skin as it bounces off my exposed arms.
"Leto?"
I hear a familiar English accent but I can't make out where it is coming from, I follow the sound of it but to no avail.
"Come closer."
Moving closer I bang into something solid but firm, I turn to look up and there he is peering down at me through the rain and I can't help but feel a bit frightened as half a smile appears on his face.
"Why didn't you bring an umbrella?"
I squint up at him through the rain.
"I didn't exactly have time, now may we go?"
He nods his head at me and then without warning scoops me up in his arms like I weigh nothing and immediately starts to literally run, I try to protest but obviously he is too strong for me, I can't help but wonder why he has to pick me up and not just lead me there.
What felt like seconds, we were already outside of the bunker and Cairo set me down on my feet. Without speaking a word he kneels down removing the lid off the top, he then gets up and gestures to me to go down first, I look at him rather uncertain while standing in the rain.
He looks back at me, huffing.
"It's either going to be you going down by yourself or I'm going to have to throw you over my shoulder and carry you down, your choice."
I chew on my lip.
"I guess I better get climbing then."
The climb down to the bunker felt like I was being led their to be eaten or something, after I had climbed down I felt a whoosh of air behind me and I look to see Cairo jump down instead of using the ladder after securing the lid down.
