When I woke up autopilot kicked in and I just did everything the same. When I got to work we all started following Bailey around doing rounds. Mer and Cristina were late. "Cristina, you're late." Bailey told her.

"So is Meredith." Cristina said as we continued walking along.

"When we walk in this door, you will maintain decorum. You will not laugh, vomit, or drop your jaw. Are we understood?" Bailey said to us I just nodded.

"Why would we laugh?" Izzie asked us.

"Oh, just you wait." Alex said while rubbing his hands together.

"Good morning, Miss Connors." Dr. Bailey said upon entering the room.

"Good morning." Miss Connors replied. I looked inside and saw that she had a massive tumour.

"What is it?" George asked, it was obvious.

"Tumor." "Tumour." Me and Cristina said at the same time. I was amazed because of how big it was.

"Good morning, Annie. How are you? This is Dr. Bailey, and these are my fellow interns." Alex said the patient making me smile a little.

"Dr. Karev, we refer to patients as 'mister'--" Dr. Bailey said before getting interrupted.

"I told him to call me 'Annie'. 'Ms. Connors' makes me feel old and fat, which I am, but why feel that way?" Annie said to her. Annie seemed like a really nice person.

"Good morning." Dr. Burke said whilst entering the room.

"Oh, Annie, this is Dr. Burke-- awesome surgeon." Alex said whispering the last part to Annie.

"Dr. Karev. Oh, Annie Connors is a 43-year-old woman who presented last night with progressive shortness of breath for the past three months. Found to have a very large tumor of unknown origin pressed against her diaphragm. Stable vital signs. Scheduled for C.T. this morning, sir." Alex said presenting the case to Burke.

"Thank you, Dr. Karev. Are you at all claustrophobic?" Burke said the first part to Alex before asking Annie.

"I've been housebound for the last year. How claustrophobic could I be?" Annie said. I don't think I would last a day being cooped up in my apartment.

"All right, then. Dr. Stevens is going to take you up for a C.T. It'll give us a brewer look at the tumor, and we'll know how to proceed from there." Burke told her I was sorta glad that I wasn't stuck with this case.

"Could someone tell my mom? She'll worry if she gets back and I'm not here." Annie said, I'm guessing that Annie's mum was like mine a stress-head when it comes to her kids.

"Yeah, of course. Of course." Burke said to her.

"And would it be possible or Alex to take me instead? I mean, he--he's just so fun to look at." Annie said. Alex started chuckling.

"Annie." He said to her.

"Sure. Sure, Ms. Connors. Excuse me." Dr. Burke said before leaving the room.

"How much do you think it weighs?" Mer asked us once we were out of sight and out of hearing range.

"60 pounds." George answered.

"75 pounds." I said while looking at George.

"More. She's carrying around a whole extra person." Izzie said, that was true.

"This one's going in the books I've got to get in." Cristina said while putting her hand on the desk.

"I almost did. Have you ever seen Alex like that? He actually seemed sincere." Izzie said, I probably wasn't allowed a say because he was always sincere around me.
