When I woke up in the morning Kennedy was still awake so I didn't wake her. I drove to work and changed before waiting in the locker room for everyone else. To occupy myself I read my book. George and Meredith seemed to be different around each other. "50 bucks says O'Malley caught her doing Mark Sloan." Alex said to us.

"There's something going on. I mean, look at them." Izzie said to us.

"I mean yesterday was weird about how George was acting around Mer but now he's even weirder somehow." I said while observing their behaviour.

"All right, he walked in on her doing McDreamy." Alex said to us while leaning all the way onto Iz. We all looked at him. "Did I just call that dude 'McDreamy'?" Alex asked us in a hushed tone.

"Oh, you know you did." Cristina said with a smirk. I quickly put my book in my locker.

"Awesome. You are ruining my life." Alex said to Iz.

"Get a room." Me and Cristina said to them. The three of us walked over to the awkward pair.

"Guys..." Iz said as she approached them.

"Excuse me." George said to her.

"Oh, sorry." She said getting out his way. "What's, uh, what's going on?" She asked them curiously.

"Nothing." Meredith said to us, I could tell she was lying.

"On, you know we're gonna find out anyway." Cristina said to them while leaning against the lockers.

"If you tell, then you know, maybe we can help." I said to them. George picked something up to put in his locker.

"There's nothing to tell." He said to us awkwardly. Something had definitely happened between them.

"Oh, that means there's something to tell." Cristina said with a smirk, which made me smirk as well.

"Come on." George said trying to play it off.

"There's nothing to tell." Meredith said before walking away. We all went to do rounds.

"Who would like to present?" Burke asked us as he walked into the first patient room.

"Keith Paulus, admitted last night with chest pains. Status post acute M.I. no family or personal history of heart disease, no cardiac risk factors." Cristina said presenting our first patient of today.

"He's healthy as a horse." Mrs. Paulus said to us while looking up.

"A horse who's in bed after just having a heart attack." He said to us. He couldn't be sure that it was a heart attack though unless they'd told him.

"See, any minute, I think you're gonna tell us that this was a false alarm. And it just seemed that he had a heart attack." Mrs. Paulus said to us. I was hoping for her sake that it wasn't a heart attack.

"She talks when she gets nervous." Mr. Paulus said to us as Burke listened to his heart.

"I understand. Mr. Paulus, unfortunately, the scan shows what looks like a mass around your heart, a very, very large mass." Burke told them. Mrs. Paulus stood up and walked over to where her husband was laying.

"Mass. Okay. Is that code for tumor?" He asked us.

"Okay, that's absurd. He doesn't have a tumor. He's incredibly healthy." She said to us. Just because he's healthy doesn't mean that he can't get a tumor.

"We won't know without further exploration, which is why I'd like to do an angiogram today." Burke told them. I was hoping that they wouldn't get their hopes up that it wasn't a tumor because then we would bad news to deliver to them.
