When I woke up and changed into scrubs, me and George headed to get bagels and coffee together before work. Everything was going fine until a bird decided to poop on George's bagel. "Oh! Crap!" He exclaimed before dropping it on the floor, a pigeon swooped down to eat it.

"It's fine, I can split mine in half." I said to him before breaking it into two and handing one half to him.

"Thanks." He said to me with a smile. We walked a centimetre forward before hearing something behind us. We turned around to see a man laying there. He must've fell from the 5th floor. Me and George were confused before we called for an ambulance. When we arrived we took him to a trauma room.

"Window washer fell floor scaffolding, obvious open tib/fib fracture, but otherwise, okay." Bailey said to us.

"Equal breath sounds. After a 5-story fall, he's got equal breath sounds. It's unbelievable. Do you want to hear?" George said in shock.

"Somehow, I believe you." Bailey said to him.

"George, calm down a little." I said to him in a hushed tone.

"Yang, get in there and palpate his abdomen." Bailey said before Cristina helped us.

"Does this hurt anywhere?" Cristina asked him while palpating his abdomen.

"No." He answered back.

"You fell from the sky- -five stories- -and you only injured your leg." George told him.

"I know right, I mean that's impossible." I said agreeing with George.

"George. Y/n." Cristina said to us in a harsh whisper.

"No, don't 'George' and 'Y/N' us. A few seconds earlier, he would've landed on us." George told Cristina.

"Okay, rolling on three, please." Cristina said, we rolled Mr. Vargas' and saw the remains of a bird.

"One, two, three." I said to them.

"Eww." We all exclaimed looking at the sight.

"Oh." Bailey said, she pulled a feather.

"Are those feathers?" Cristina asked.

"Our life was saved by that pigeon." George said while looking at his back.

"Looks like it." I said to George.

"Let's get some x-rays, and after that, you might wanna get in there and look for the rest of tweety." Bailey said before exiting the room. We started pulling feathers from Mr. Vargas' back.

"Thank you." George said while picking up a feather. We rolled Mr. Vargas onto his front half and started taking the remains of the bird out. But before that we took him to get his x-ray done.

"Beak." He said to us.

"Claw." We all responded.

"We need to widen this incision to take a better look." Cristina said to us.

"Sounds look a good choice." I said to her.

"Alright." George said quietly. "Does your leg hurt a lot?" George asked Mr. Vargas.

"I'm fine, man. Just...do your thing." He replied with.

"Is there anyone you'd like me to call?" George asked him.

"What for?" He replied with.

"You fell five stories and lived to tell about it. I'd kinda want to shout it from the rooftops..." George said, me and Cristina looked at him. "So to speak. It's a miracle. You may not understand the medicine of it, but a 5-story fall- -your lugs should be collapsed, your back should be broken, your aorta should be totally severed." George continued on.
