Something felt off when I woke up this morning. I just had a feeling that something was going to happen but I didn't know what. I did the usual thing before heading off to work. Then I did the usual thing when I got there before doing rounds. "How's Burke doing?" Izzie asked Cristina, I hope he was doing well.

"I don't know." Cristina said to her in response.

"She doesn't know." George told Iz. What was going on between them.

"He just had surgery yesterday, and you don't know how he's doing?" Alex asked her.

"They're not on speaking terms." I said to them, Cristina had been telling me everything.

"I thought they made up." Izzie said to us.

"They did, sort of." Mer said to her.

"But she's still not speaking to him?" Iz asked confusedly.

"He's not speaking to me." Cristina told them, that wasn't true.

"They're not speaking to each other." Meredith said to them.

"Okay." Izzie said before shutting up.

"Did you ask Derek about Burke's hand?" Cristina asked Mer.

"I don't want to get in the middle of it. Derek and I are happy. Could we just keep it that way for a while?" Meredith asked as we were walking to Mr. O'Malley's room. I was deciding to keep me mouth shut for a while.

"You know, you could always swallow your pride and just ask him yourself." Iz said to her, that was true she could but I don't think that she wants to.

"Her gut's not big enough for that." Alex said to her making us all laugh.

"Oh, Alex, you hurt me." Cristina said, as we were approaching the O'Malley's we heard a loud collection of laughs.

"Oh, George." Mr. O'Malley said as we were entering the loud room. "Quiet down! Everyone, quiet down!" He was shouting at all his family members.

"Morning, everybody." Mrs. O'Malley said with a smile.

"Good morning. Uh, who's presenting?" Webber said from behind me, I moved to the side a little.

"Oh, can Georgie do it? He's real good." Mr. O'Malley said to him.

"Come on, Georgie. Yeah! Come on. Come on." They all started shouting, we all looked at George.

"Um...Harold O'Malley, 63, status- -post-aortic valve replacement. Morning chest x-rays showed no atelectasis after aggressive C.P.T. for the last two days. Um, scheduled for a transhital esophagectomy tomorrow morning at 9:00. That's it." George said before they all started cheering again. I couldn't help but smile.

"Um, for the next few minutes, I think it would be best if the extended family could wait out in the waiting area." Bailey said getting a bunch of groans in response.

"Just a few minutes, guys. And then you can come back." Mr. O'Malley said and they all started leaving.

"How are you feeling, Mr. O'Malley?" Bailey asked him once they were gone.

"He's feeling great. 'Better than ever.' He said. Which is why we had everybody come out today, because we figured after today, he maybe won't be feeling so great for a while." Mrs. O'Malley said with a smile. I liked her, she was really nice.

"Uh, after the surgery, uh, then when do we start chemo and stuff?" Mr. O'Malley asked Webber.

"That protocol depends on what we find when we open you up, Harold." Webber told him.
