When I woke I might as well have been in Poland because of the food that was being cooked. It was for lunch. The main that caught attention was the zrazy roulade. "You made my favourite." I said to her with a smile.
"Just the way babcia makes it." She said with a smile. I quickly got ready and had a slice of toast before preparing myself for work. If you couldn't figure out by now, we were a quarter Polish, half British and a quarter Russian. It was a weird mix but it worked. When I got to work and changed into my scrubs we had an incoming trauma so we prepped for that and waited for the ambulance.
"Ask Meredith. Meredith." Izzie said while walking out the doors with George. "Oh, that's right, I forgot. You're not talking to her." Izzie said while rolling her eyes. What were they talking about now. "If you were, she would tell you that Callie crosses the line. So across the line. It's so freakin' crossed." Izzie said going on, me and Cristina looked at Mer but she just shook her head at us.
"Oh! We're still pretending that you're not seeing a patient, right?" Alex asked her with a smirk. Good on him for saying that. Izzie threw her apple core into the bin. We heard the siren wails and that's when we knew that it was time for surgical cases.
"People, What's with all the evil misery, huh?" Cristina said walking into the middle of them, me and Meredith shared a concerning look.
"What's up with her?" I asked Mer.
"I don't know." She said to me, Cristina seemed a bit off today.
"Live and let live." Cristina said while putting her arms around Alex and Izzie. George put his hand on her cheek.
"You're cheerful." George said concernedly, who was this girl and what had she done with one of my best friends Cristina Yang.
"Oh!" Cristina expressed with a smile.
"You are." Izzie said to her.
"And it's concerning." I added onto her point.
"Come on." Cristina said with a smile,
"How's that possible?" Izzie asked rhetorically, I honestly didn't know.
"I scrubbed in on a 4-hour paraesophageal hernia last night, then I got laid, and now three ambulances are coming in full of bloody, broken car crash victims, all who need to be cut open. So I'm cheerful. I'm cheerful..." Cristina said cheering making us all smile at her at her cheerfulness. I've never seen someone so happy before. "I'm cheerful!" She shouted at Shepherd walked near her, he sighed. "Sorry sir." She said apologetically. He walked over to Meredith.
"Hey." She said enthusiastically.
"Hey. How's my dog?" Derek asked, how was Doc doing?
"Much better. Finn's running tests." Meredith told him with a smile. Meredith was a lot happier since she started seeing Finn.
"Good." He said before walking away.
"Our dog." Meredith said making him stop.
"What?" He asked her confusedly.
"Our dog. You said 'my dog.' He's our dog." Meredith said while walking over to him.
"Yeah, whatever." Derek said as the ambulances pulled up. Izzie took her patient in ahead of us all.
"Noah, you still alive?" Me and Cristina's patient asked.
"I'm still alive, baby." His answer was. Cristina was looking through her chart.
"22-year-old pregnant restrained passenger. T-boned on her side. Prolonged extrication in the field. B.P. 90 over 50. Pulse in the 80s." The paramedic told Bailey, this was going to be a long day.
