42. Let The Angels Commit

It was late in the day and I was currently in surgery with Callie. Once I got out I saw Cristina writing on the O.R. board, I looked around and saw Mer, Alex and George were looking at her.

"You've been busy." Meredith said to her, we were all in the locker room ready to leave.

"Very busy." I said while nodding.

"Yeah." Cristina said to us while tying her laces up.

"Derek hasn't called yet. I told him I broke up with Finn a week ago. He still hasn't called. Hey, do you want to go grab a drink, catch up?" Meredith said to her, I could do with a drink. I was looking forward to hearing Cristina's answer.

"Uh, no, I can't. I have to study up for Burke's surgeries tomorrow." Cristina said before leaving, George left after her.

"She's busy." Meredith said to me and Alex. Alex left after Mer said that.

"Something doesn't seem right." I said before leaving. When I got home I showered before going straight to bed. In the morning when I arrived at work I was sharing and elevator with Mer, Iz and George.

"Feeling good. Really good." Izzie said to us.

"Good." George said to her.

"Good." I said to her.

"Good." Meredith said to her.

"Yeah, first day back. It's big. Kinda nervous. But feeling good. Do I look okay?" Izzie said to us. I couldn't wait to leave this thing.

"Great." We all said to her.

"I want to get off on the right foot. Gotta get my I.D. renewed, new time card, sign some papers with legal, and then I'm back. I'm really back." Izzie said to us, how long until this thing stops. Not Izzie, the elevator.

"Yeah." We all said at the same time, the elevator dinged and we waited for Izzie to walk out.

"This is me- -Human Resources. See you guys on the floor." Izzie said before leaving us, thank god.

"Yeah." George said before leaving, I think we all had something we needed to discuss.

"Okay, we'll be Cristina for you if you'll both be Izzie for me." George said to us, I liked the sound of that.

"Oh, and can you both be Izzie and Cristina for me." I said to them.

"Deal." Meredith said to us, George stopped the elevator.

"Derek had a woman in his trailer last night. She was ugly, very ugly. Except she was tall and beautiful. And he was naked." Meredith said to us.

"You should not waste another minute of your time with him." I said to Meredith reassuringly, I looked at George.

"Oh, uh...McDreamy was doing the McNasty with a McHottie? That McBastard. How- -how was that?" George said to her, I looked away so I wouldn't be tempted to laugh.

"That was good." Meredith said with a smile.

"Very good." I said while patting his shoulder.

"Cristina enough? Really?" George asked us with a smile.

"Yeah." We both said at the same time.

"Yeah?" He asked us unsure.

"Yeah." We said again.

"Yeah, 'cause- -" George started before Mer cut him off.

"Channeling Izzie, go." Meredith said to him.

"Okay, uh, Callie...she won't forgive me. Um...she won't talk to me. She dumped me. Which is, uh...I don't care about, you know, at all." George said to us, poor guy.
