36. Losing My Religion- part 3 of 3

We were still sat there waiting. I didn't know how long I'd been there. After the surgery's had finished, Izzie changed her out of her scrubs and we all stood in front of Webber, including Alex. "I cut the LVAD wire." Izzie said to him.

"Actually...I cut the LVAD wire." Meredith said to him.

"Meredith you weren't there. It was me who cut the LVAD wire." I said to him.

"No, I did it. I'm the one who cut the wire." George said, we were all taking the blame.

"Fine. I cut the LVAD wire." Cristina said to him.

"I didn't do anything. I'm totally innocent." Alex said breaking the chain we had going.

"Alex." George said to him. "That's not the point." He added.

"We made an agreement." Cristina said to him.

"I didn't even- -I wasn't here." He said to us.

"But that isn't the point." I said to him.

"I told you guys this was a bad idea." Izzie said to him.

"People! I know who did this, so you might as well come clean. I know." Webber said to us, this was the worst thing I'd been involved in.

"With all due respect, sir, if you knew, you wouldn't be asking us." George said to him.

"I did what I- -" Izzie started before Mer cut her off.

"You have your suspicions, but you don't actually know." She said to him.

"Not for sure." Cristina said to him.

"But no one should ever act on suspicions unless they can be sure of them. I've learnt that plenty of times." I said to Webber.

"And you can't do anything to any of us without proof, sir." George said to him, Webber stood up and leaned on his desk.

"Well, one of you compromised a patient's life. One of you stole an organ. One of you jeopardized the integrity of this hospital and of U.N.O.S. now you tell me, and you tell me right now!" Webber shouted at us, we all went quite. "All right, fine." He said before sitting down, we all turned to leave. "No surgeries." He said to us, we all stopped at the door and looked at him.

"Sir?" Cristina asked him confusedly.

"No one scrubs in, no one watches from the gallery, no one so much as goes near the O.R. floor. Until someone confesses, the six of you will share a single patient- -Camille Travis. Whatever she wants, the six of you will provide it. Now get the hell out of my sight." He told us and we all left and went downstairs.

"I will go back and tell him. I will tell him it was me." Izzie said to us, I saw that Dylan was sleeping and I decided not to wake him.

"No. And get kicked out of the program? You will keep your mouth shut. We all will keep our mouths shut." Meredith said as we walked through the hallway.

"This is crap. I'm turning her in." Alex said to us, we stopped.

"Alex." I said to him.

"What? You were the one who said we had to stand by Izzie." Alex said to Meredith.

"I am sorry, and I really do appreciate what you did for Denny." Izzie said apologising to Alex. I was a sincere apology and I could tell.

"Oh, shut up. Look, the only reason I lied to Burke is 'cause I wanted in on that transplant surgery. I don't care about Denny, and I hope you get thrown out on your ass." He said to her. He was probably saying that because he still liked her.
