This morning was a little different, I went on a run with Kennedy and Tyler. We needed to have a day or a morning together where we just have a bonding between us, forgetting about work and patients. In Kennedy's case it was about forgetting her schoolwork, she was working hard and we knew that she'd become and excellent surgeon. When I got to work, I was walking with Alex.
"Where were you this morning?" He asked me.
"I was on a run." I said to him.
"You run?" He asked me with a light chuckle.
"Yes, does surprise you or something?" I asked him curiously.
"A little bit." He said to me.
"Karev, Y/l/n, are you rock stars?" I heard Hahn ask us, that was a little bit out of the blue.
"Always." Alex replied.
"We never stop being rock stars." I said to her with a smile.
"You're with me today. Congratulations. Your life just got more interesting." She said while walking over to us and handing Alex the file. We followed behind her. Cristina was following us as well.
"Karev and Y/l/n don't know anything about Elizabeth Archer." Cristina said to her.
"You can read, can't you, Dr. Y/l/n and Dr. Karev?" Hahn asked us, I mean if read a lot of things in my life so I'd hope so.
"I'm pretty sure I can." I said to her.
"Uh, yes. Elizabeth Archer, 49, came into the E.R. yesterday complaining of severe, persistent- -" Alex was saying before a certain person cut him off.
"An urgent cardiac cath demonstrated dissection of the proximal two-thirds of L.A.D. she was admitted last night for observation." Cristina said making me and Alex look at each other.
"While I admire preparation, Dr. Yang, there is one thing about the patient you failed to notice. She's gone." Hahn said while opening the patient's room door. She was gone, we all went to look for her including Cristina. Hahn got me and Alex seeming as she'd be found.
"You're a faith healer?" Bailey asked her confusedly.
"I'm a healer, and I have faith, but I'm not sure the two are related." Ms. Archer told us, I'd heard what she'd done and I was intrigued by it.
"Ms. Archer, you collapsed. You could go into cardiac arrest at any moment. So I'm less interested in what you do for a living than I am with getting you into- -" Hahn said but I wanted to know what she does and how it works.
"Well, wait. I want to know what she did to Mr. Greenwald. I mean, he's been in and out of V-tach all day, and now he's stable." Bailey said, so she's done something to him but I would like to know what.
"Maybe because of the amiodarone he got two hours ago." Hahn said, maybe that was the case. It seemed more logical.
"Really? Does amiodarone usually take two hours to kick in?" Ms. Archer asked us, this woman made a lot of sense.
"Ms. Archer, you have a coronary artery dissection. Dr. Karev, Dr. Y/l/n and I need to get you into surgery as soon as possible." Hahn said to her, but yet again Hahn was stating a very important fact.
"I appreciate that, Dr. Hahn, but I am not going into surgery until we've exhausted all the other possibilities." Ms. Archer said back, but at the end of the day she needed this surgery.
"Ms. Archer, if you don't have the surgery soon, I can guarantee you that the blood supply to your heart and I'll have to open you up anyway." Hahn said to her, either way Ms. Archer would need surgery.
