This morning I decided to get a run in before heading to work. When I arrived at work I got a coffee before heading to the locker room. I could not wait for today. "Today is the day, people. Today is the day when dark-and-twisty Meredith disappears forever and bright-and-shiny Meredith takes her place. You're probably not gonna want to be friends with me anymore because the sheer intensity of my happiness is gonna make your teeth hurt. But that's okay because life is good. Life is good." Meredith said to us, 'should we page psych.' I mouthed to the others. This wasn't usual Meredith Grey behavior. "What's going on?" Meredith asked us, I'm guessing she didn't know the news about George's dad.

"George's dad got admitted last night." Izzie said telling her the news, I felt bad for George.

"Oh, my god. Is he okay?" Meredith asked him worriedly.

"Oh, no, he's fine." George said but I think we knew that he wasn't.

"He, uh, passed out, hit the floor and fractured his clavicle." Izzie said to her.

"Yeah, but his clavicle's fine. Callie said it's gonna be fine." George said, he was staring at his dads labs.

"Are those his A.M. labs?" Meredith asked while leaning of his shoulder.

"Yeah, complaining of severe abdominal pain." Alex told Meredith before looking back over George's shoulder.

"But he doesn't seem to have any peritoneal signs." I told Mer, that was a good thing.

"That's good." Cristina said while looking at me.

"Has anybody seen..." I heard Bailey start to say but she stopped when she saw all of us.

"I was just looking at it." George told her, but I don't think he was getting away with it. We all stood up as she approached us.

"Don't you think me looking at it is more important than you reading it?" Bailey asked him rhetorically as he handed her the labs.

"Sure, fine. He's gonna be fine." George said in low voice as he walked to the lockers.

"You're on scut today. You'll be distracted." Bailey told him, at least he would be distracted all day.

"No, I won't." George tried telling her, but we knew that he would be if he wasn't doing scut.

"Family members do not treat family members. Scut." Bailey told him seriously, Cristina stood up while tying her hair up.

"I'm scrubbing in on a surgery with Dr. Burke this morning." She said. I was getting a bit suspicious seeming as she'd been the only intern scrubbing in with Burke.

"Of course you are." Bailey said before Cristina was gone. "Karev, Sloan. Grey, Y/l/n, pit. Stevens, shadow Karev. And let me remind you again of the rules of your probation." She added, I think Iz could probably recite the rules in her sleep they'd been drummed into her that many times.

"I think she knows the rules, Dr. Bailey." Alex told her.

"It's probably driving her crazy how many times you've told her them." I said before looking at Iz.

"No touching patients, no talking to patients, no rolling your eyes at the patients or your superiors." Bailey said before leaving, I decided to wait for Meredith to get changed before heading to the pit. After she changed we went to the pit before we had to get ready for an incoming trauma, I paged Derek and the three of us ran to meet the ambulance. "What do we have?" Bailey asked while following behind us.

"Mia Hanson...5-year-old female, crush injury to the abdomen, blunt trauma to the head. B.P. 90 over 60, pulse 110." Ray told us while getting her out the ambulance.
