When I got home, I went straight to my bathroom, showered before getting into bed. When I woke up I went straight into autopilot and headed to work. It was pouring down with rain, so I used my umbrella. When I got to the locker room I changed into scrubs. "You're drippin'." Bailey told Cristina.
"I'm back. I just wanna make that clear. I'm back. I'm ready to work." Cristina told her, Dr. Shepherd appeared.
"Has anyone seen Dr. Shepherd this morning?" She asked us.
"His name's on the O.R. board. He should be here somewhere." Bailey said to her. Dr. Shepherd left.
"I'm good. I'm ready to scrub in. I'm 100% on top of my game." Cristina told Bailey with confidence.
"You just got discharged. You do to Y/n. Pace yourselves." She told us.
"I was discharged yesterday while I was working I'm fine." I told Bailey with a reassuring smile.
"I'm paced. I'm paced." Cristina told Bailey.
"Mm-hmm. Rounds, people." Bailey said before we all exited the room and followed behind. Our first patient had a weird way of treating pain.
"Ahem, Dr. Bailey. Henry Lamott, age 42, is scheduled with Dr. Shepherd for a spinal implant to control the pain of his herniated disc, is allergic to all pain medication." Cristina said, we were all fixated to the tv screen showing porn. "Is that..." Cristina said while looking at the screen.
"Porn." Mrs Lamott said finishing Cristina's sentence.
"Porn?" Bailey asked before looking up. "As in 'porn'?" Bailey said with a raised voice.
"All right. What are we watching?" Alex asked sounding like a creep.
"Karev, go stand in the hall." Bailey told him. "Uh, Mr. and Mrs. Lamott, I'm sure your a really nice people and what you do in the privacy of your own- -look, we can't have porn in here. This is a hospital." Bailey told them, we all just watched what was happening,
"It's for my pain. My Doc says it releases endorphins in the brain, and it helps keep my pain at a manageable level." Mr. Lamott said to her.
"Really?" George asked making us laugh.
"George- -hall." Bailey told him.
"Yeah." He said before leaving.
"What is this?" Izzie asked.
"'Nasty, naughty nurses...' um, '4'." Mrs. Lamott said while looking at the screen. We all tilted our heads.
"That does not look comfortable." Cristina said to us,
"Trust me, it's not." Me and Mer said at the same time.
"Get in the hall." Bailey told us, we all left. After a few minutes Bailey left and told us what we were doing for the day. "O'Malley, Karev, you're in the pit today. Stevens, Y/l/n, there's a cardiac patient waiting for you up on two. Yang, keep an eye on the Lamott's. I don't want any problems. Go." Bailey told us, me and Iz went up to the second floor to meet our patient.
"How are you feeling?" Izzie asked me.
"I'm okay actually." I said to her reassuringly.
"I had no idea you were..." She started saying before stopping herself.
"I didn't want people to know." I said to her. When we got to the patient room we immediately did an ultrasound.
"You shouldn't have tried to walk the dog in the rain." Mr. Bradley told his wife.
"On, Lou. It wasn't the rain. I just passed out." Mrs. Bradley reassured her husband.
"Actually, Mrs. Bradley- -" I said to her before she cut me off.
