73. Where The Wild Things Are

It had been 6 weeks since that day. But they had been a slow 6 weeks, nothing important really happened. I mean Lexie and George had moved into together, I visited once and said never again. This morning I was on another run again, we were making this a weekly thing. When I got to work and changed my pager went off and I ran. I bumped into the others and we all walked together. We were power walking, I saw Izzie fall and I let out a little laugh. I'd been living in this hospital for the past 2 weeks.

"Move it." Cristina said seeming as Mer stopped unexpectedly, we saw Rose and Derek walking together.

"She's a witch." I said to Mer.

"She's wretched...and mean." Cristina added, I didn't like Rose.

"She's not." Mer said to us, well I believe that she is and that's all that matters.

"You know, I heard one of the nurses saying that they've only been on five dates." Iz said that was literally a date every week.

"Yeah, 'cause Derek knows she's wretched. And she's mean." Cristina said to her.

"And an inconsiderate witch." I said to Mer with a smile.

"Yeah." Iz said to us.

"What did you do to your hair?" I heard George ask Iz. I hadn't noticed that she'd done anything to it.

"You guys, I know you're trying to make me feel better, but I have to tell you, this pausing to talk about Rose and Derek, it just means..." Mer said before stopping George was looking at Iz's hair.

"Yeah?" Me and Iz asked.

"I'm gonna win." Mer said before running off. I started running as well with Cristina leaving Iz behind.

"Keeping it clean was getting in the way of the contest, so I chopped it off last night. It just makes me faster and sleeker, like a cheetah." Iz said making me laugh a little, it did nothing.

"You chopped off all your hot hair for a stupid contest?" George asked Iz, he would never understand.

"Not stupid. Rock star contest. Best contest ever. You should try living in the hospital for two straight weeks, George. It's amazing." Iz said as we were walking away, I'd actually forgotten what my apartment looks like. I can't remember what they even show on television anymore because I'd been here so long.

"This contest is for residents only." Cristina said to us.

"So you're gonna have to wait until your one of us." I said to him.

"Yes! I know that." George said while trying to keep up with us.

"Doesn't mean he can't still live here. I feel juiced and alive, and my brain is clicking and running. I have never been more on my game." Iz said to him, I mean I was more energetic then usual.

"I'm kinda sad the contest ends tonight." Mer said to us, I was as well.

"I'm not. I want that prize." Cristina said as we were walking, still.

"What prize?" George asked before he accidentally walked into someone.

"Bailey isn't telling us." I said to him.

"But I want it. I want it bad." Iz said to us, she wasn't getting it.

"Too bad you're never gonna get it." Mer said in a singsong voice.

"So on my game!" Iz shouted, I liked this version of Izzie. Before we entered the E.R. we were getting ready, Alex came running. He hadn't shaved in a while and he needed to.

"Why didn't anybody wake me?" Alex asked us.
"Why would we help you?" Izzie said before walking away a little.

"There's such a thing as honor." Alex said to us.
