It was a new day. Izzie was still at home. For breakfast I just had a fruit salad that I found in the fridge. It was Mer's first day back today. When I got to work and changed Mer started talking about Iz and the cheque. "She's losing it. She almost battered and deep fried an $8 1/2 million check this morning." Mer told us, the things I could do with that.

"That kind of money, I'd buy my own hospital and stock it full of sick people. Valvuloplasties and ruptured aneurysms...mm." Cristina said to us, I was already in line to inherit two so I didn't see the point.

"You're a psycho. You know that, right?" George asked her.

"I would buy an academy for talented students and they would be taught everything medical." I said with a smile. That was the dream.

"I'm not the one with an $8 1/2-million check. I won't cash." Cristina said to George with a smile.

"Stop talking about me. I'm fine. I am cleaning out my locker and I am going home. Mer is the one with the problems." Izzie said from the other side of the lockers. What was wrong with Mer?

"What's wrong with me?" Mer asked her confusedly. Izzie walked round to us.

"Well, now you haven't told McDreamy that you dumped McVet." Iz told her. I thought she would've done that already.

"Oh, you haven't done that yet?" Cristina asked her confusedly.

"I thought you would've done that by now." I said to her with a smile.

"Dude, tell him already." Alex said to her, I nodded in agreement.

"She's scared." George said while reading the paper, I looked over his shoulder and read the page he was on.

"I am not scared. Derek walked away. He walked away. And maybe that's a good thing. I mean, maybe he's happier. Maybe he's moved on. He's got Addison here. He's got Mark here. He's...got a lot to deal with. And I'm not gonna make him feel guilty. I mean, I am being an adult here. And I am not going to drag him into our whole..." Meredith said to all us, she looked at all of us because she knew we wasn't buying her act. "Izzie is the one with the big check." Meredith said while pointing at Iz.

"I'm fine." Izzie said before going back to her locker. I shook my head and smiled. I put my coat on before we went into the hallway, George went to call Callie. Bailey was waiting for him.

"Am I keeping you O'Malley?" She asked him, he joined us. "MM in 15 minutes, people." She said to us, we got to go to that.

"Wait, wait, wait." George said to her.

"We get to go to MM?" Alex asked her curiously.

"Even if we haven't finished our rounds?" George asked her curiously. I was hoping the answer was yes.

"Even if. I want all of you at the MM today." Bailey answered, every single one of us.

"Yes!" Alex said happily.

"People die in this hospital on our watch. Once a month, we meet to discuss how our actions as physicians contributed to the deaths. This is a serious exercise." She said to us, I'm guessing that Denny would be talked about today.

"Dr. Bailey." A man said to her, we all walked away.

"George, Y/n, Alex, you guys get good seats. Mer and I will get snacks." Cristina said to us.

"Yeah." Alex said with a smile.

"All right, we will." I said to her with a smile.

"Dr. Karev, uh, Mrs. Niles is scheduled for a mastectomy tomorrow." I heard Bailey say to him, he walked over to her. I felt bad for him but oh, well. Alex walked back over to us.
