Jungkook POV

"Jeon Jungkook!"

"Here."

The bus is slowly filled with bustling students. I hug my bag to my chest, and plug in my earphones to drown out the loud chattering. I gaze out the window, only to find a rather disappointing view. It's raining, not doing the landscape of Portland any justice.

I'm about to drift to sleep, when Taehyung plops down beside me, a stupid grin on his face. He yanks my earphones off, and stuffs them back into my bag.

"Hey!" I protest. "I was going to take a nap."

"But that's boring," He grins. "Talk to me."

"Only if you let me sleep on your lap," I huff, wriggling closer, locking our arms together.

For a moment, the dull scenery doesn't bother me anymore, and it just feels nice to curl up next to my boyfriend. Tae hums a soft tune, all the while brushing my hair with his fingers. It feels nice to have my scalp soothed after a long plane ride.

"Pretty," He mumbles. "How can one person be so damn pretty."

I giggle.

"Taehyung, Jungkook, stop flirting please," Miss Choi calls out from the front of the bus. "I would appreciate it if you paid attention to the schedule for this week."

"Yes Miss Choi," We say in a chorus, me blushing pink.

Of course, staying silent won't stop Tae's hands from moving. His palms dig into my upper thigh, massaging it softly. I sigh, and rest my head against his shoulder. My eyes droop, letting the silent rumbling of the engine lull me to sleep.

I don't realise that I've fallen asleep, until the bus stops at the hotel. Taehyung nudges me gently.

"Baby, we're here."

I blink in awe. The rain has stopped. The skies are clear. Although it is starting to get dark, everything is much prettier now.

"Did you listen to what Miss Choi was talking about?" I asked Tae, stepping of the bus and finally into fresh air. "About the schedule?"

"Nope," Taehyung says, popping the p. He sees the frantic look on my face, and laughs. "Joking! Of course I did."

I bump my suitcase against his leg as we walk through the entrance, mostly on purpose.

"So do we get free time?" I ask hopefully.

"Yeah, tomorrow," Tae replies. "After Pittock Mansion, we get lunch to ourselves, and a few hours after that too."

Good, I think happily, before nuzzling into his neck.

"Mm, carry my luggage for me, I'm sleepy."

The mansion visit is unbelievably boring. It was supposed to end by 11, but at the pace the tour guide was going it felt like the tour would never end.

When we're finally dismissed, Taehyung and I are the first to leave. He  pulls me through tourist crowds, down hidden alleyways.

"Do you actually know where we're going?" I ask, half laughing and slightly breathless. "I swear, if where we're going has no food involved I'll leave."

"We're almost there, I promise," He says. "And I promise there's food involved. Look, it's just there."

I do look, and my feet literally screech to a stop. Before us is a small, tucked away restaurant, hidden by multiple tree branches. The only thing that remotely shows the entrance, is a wreath of bright pink flowers at the door. The windows are lit with inviting, warm strings of light bulbs.
