Bible study. Wholesome, righteous, teaches you the right thing to do in life.

Right?

Wrong.

Not if the priest is a brainwashing, evil homophobic woman. Also known as my mother.

Ever since I was young, she bombed me with anti homosexuality lessons, spitting verses at me. Somehow, none of that seemed to work.

Because I turned out gay.

Let's just say my love life wasn't going quite like how I wanted it to be. A few flings with girls from church, they were nice, but just not meant to be.

Who was I meant to be with?

Oh I already knew.

It was that summer night. The church was holding an evening service, and everyone attended. All the kids and the teenagers gathered outside in the courtyard, playing around the marble statues and hedges.

Being the loner I was, I stationed myself at the pond, where there tended to be less people.

And in the twilight, there he was.

Kim Taehyung.

With his soft brown hair, eyes that glowed with flecks of gold. His perfectly proportioned body leaning over the edge of the water.

And he slipped.

And I grabbed his arm and pulled him on me as we fell to the ground.

How could I not fall for such an angel? The way he smiled at me shyly, his arms loosely draped around my torso. And when he let go, I desperately wanted to pull him back.

Deep down knowing I could never.

Kim Taehyung was the son of one of the pastors at church as well. And he most definitely was straight.

So we just became friends.

And it hurt every day.

I blinked away daydreams, and saw Taehyung slink into the church bench beside me. His hair was longer now, his bangs propped up slightly by the sunglasses atop his head.

"Today's confession day," He continued. "You nervous, or excited?"
