Taehyung POV

Anyone can be a superhero. Not everyone wants to be a superhero. Some people are superheroes without even realising it.

Jeon Jungkook, if only you'd realise how much more of a superhero you are than me.

☄️

It had only been able a few hours since Jungkook found out I was under the apprenticeship of S.H.I.E.L.D, and he was already asking me questions like gunfire.

"Do you have a code name?"

"Do you have powers?"

"Will you be rich?"

I shrugged at him, smiling at his childishness. Despite being have to be in bed at all times due to his chemotherapy, he had the energy of a crowd of kids.

His eyes flashed, and his bunny teeth was on full show. I lay down beside him and rested my head in the crook of his neck.

"I don't know about anything yet, ok?" I answered. "You smell nice."

Jungkook huffed and rolled his eyes.

"You're a boring superhero."

I kissed the tip of his chin.

"Maybe I can get them to make you better," I offered, and his eyes faded.

"Mm."

"Don't you want to get better?" I asked, pressing another kiss to his chiseled jaw.

"Mm."

"Ya, Jungkook."

I caught his lips by surprise, and then pulled away.

"You're going to get better," I said. "I know it."

He didn't respond, but he pulled me closer to him. Jungkook's newly cropped brown hair dangled over his eyes. He glanced at the machine plugged into his arm and winced.

"Oh Tae," He whispered. "It hurts. Everything hurts."

"You're doing amazing, baby," I assured him, stroking his face. "You're so strong."

Tears found their way down both of our faces. Because deep down we were both unsure.

"Could you... Could you sing for me?"

I broke a smile.

"Of course."

So you can keep me
Inside the pocket of  your ripped jeans
Holding me closer till our eyes meet
You won't ever be alone

And If you hurt me
That's okay baby
Only words bleed
Inside these pages you just hold me
You won't ever be alone

Wait for me to come home.

Jungkook punched me lightly.

"Sap."

Unwillingly, I went home after Jungkook fell asleep.

With my earphones in, I boarded the underground train. As expected, the chattering grew louder.

"Is that Kim Taehyung? The actor?"

"Doesn't his boyfriend have cancer?"

I shot daggers at the woman who said that, and she squeaked and scurried away. Exhausted and frustrated, I stepped off the train before it even started, and walked him instead.
