Veronica's POV

What did I say yes to? And why did I say Yes? Why am I complicating things for myself. He seemed to really want to help me. Well, he can't really help me with anything if nothings wrong. Well, one thing. Him. He's what's wrong. I can't look at him without biting my lip or blushing. Especially when he smiles or something. I think I might have a problem. I wish I could tell somebody about this little... crush. I'm not sure how to tell anyone of my friends about it. How would I to begin with?

I walked into my fourth period which I didn't have with any of my friends. Great! I get to think without anyone in the way.

At lunch

"Veronica, you seem really quiet right now. You okay?" Kevin asked. I looked at him and nodded.

"Yeah, why?" I asked.

"You just looked distracted, tired, lost in thought." He said. I nodded.

"Yeah, I... I guess I kind of was." I said.

"You wanna talk about it?" Cheryl asked. I shook my head.

"No, I have, uhh, I have someone I can talk to, I guess." I said.

"What? A therapist?" Toni said with a small laugh. I rolled my eyes.

"No, not a therapist. I can just tell them things without any judgement." I said.

"So a therapist?" She asked.

"No, I haven't even talked to them yet. They just said that if I ever needed to talk to someone I could talk to him." I told them.

"Oh! So it's a him!" Kevin said.

"It's not like that. I'm with Archie anyways. Plus, I wouldn't date him even if I could." I said.

"What does that mean?" Kevin asked.

"Just means that I'm... faithful to Archie. So im not dating anybody else." I said.

"What's this talk about dating somebody else, Ronnie." Archie asked and sat to me.

"Nothing." I said quickly. He just at me questionably. I ignored that as Betty sat down too.

"Where have you guys been?" Cheryl asked.

"Uhh," Betty said.

"I, uhh, came from the, um, with Reggie and the other football guys." Archie said. I looked at him, confusedly. Cheryl and Toni started whispering to each other.

"And I came from... my locker." Betty said. I just nodded.

"Okay?" I said.

"Veronica, can we talk for a minute?" Toni asked. I looked at her and nodded.

"Sure, I guess." I said and the three of us got up and walked away. "What?"

"We think Archie is cheating. On you." Toni said.

"With Betty." Cheryl added. I scoffed.

"Wait, what? You two really think that?" J asked. They both nodded. "This is a joke, right?" I asked a little more seriously.

"No, we aren't." Toni said and shrugged. I looked back at Archie and Betty and sighed.

"No, no they wouldn't do that. Plus, Archie and I were together just the other night. We were fine. We were.. happy?" I said kind of questionably.

"What are we talking about?" It was Kevin.

"Toni and Cheryl think Archie is cheating me. And with Betty!" I told him. "Don't you think they're crazy." He looked the two that were left at the lunch table. He shook his head.

"Mmm, no," he said and looked at me. "Not really. I agree with them a little."

"A little? What does that mean? Do you agree with them?" I asked. He sighed.

"Veronica, they've been bestfriends since forever. They're close. Maybe that's it. Just them being... friends?" He said. I rolled my eyes.

"I gotta go guys. I'll see you later." I said and started walking off.

"Wait, Veronica! We didn't mean to upset you." Cheryl said.

"Then why did you say anything?" I asked, but ignored their answers. I continues to walk away from them. I kept going till I found myself outside of a classroom. His classroom. I sighed and opened the door. He looked at me and smiled. I gave him a fake smile. He stood up.

"What do you need?" He asked.

"Someone to talk too." I said.

"That quick?" He asked. I just nodded. "Okay, shut the door." He said and I did so. "What is it you needed to talk about? Take your time." He said. I sighed.

"My... my friends are being real annoying. They're are saying things and I don't know what to do." I told him.

"Okay? Well, what did they tell you?" He asked.

"It's stupid, but they told me my boyfriend is cheating on my with my bestfriend." I said with a small laugh. "And I didn't know if I should talk to them or not. Or should I only talk to one of them. I don't know."

"Well, do you know why your friends said that?" He asked. I shook my head.

"Not really. They did say something about them being friends since... forever! So, I guess that makes sense." He nodded.

"Well, maybe, just is case, at least talk your boyfriend. And maybe, if needed, talk to your friend." He said. I smiled and nodded.

"Uhh, thank you, I guess." I said. He nodded.

"Yeah, anytime. Remember you can still come and talk to me. With anything." He said. I nodded again. He smiled at me and I smiled back. Then, the bell rang.

"I, uhh, I better go." I said. He nodded and left the classroom. I shut the dokr behind me. I walked away a little then leaned up against the wall. Oh, my God! That was hard for sowm reason. Trying to talk to him without stuttering or blushing or biting my lip. What is wrong me? This isn't Okay!
