Fifty-three

Veronica's POV

I woke up in Jughead's arms. I smiled a little and cuddled a little bit more into him. But I immediately remembered yesterday and what happened with Archie. Oh, God! How could I do that? I kissed him back and I'm with Jughead. I don't want him knowing because I'm scared of how he'll react. I don't want to ruin our relationship. I guess it's too late. I started to get up, but he pulled me back.

"No!" He complained. "Its finally the weekend! Stay here!"

"Jug, I--" he cut me off.

"I know you don't have anything to be doing today. Please just stay here a little longer." He begged. I couldn't help, but smile. I sighed and layed down again. He wrapped his arms around me tightly. "Thank you."

"Welcome, but could you not kill me, please?" I asked.

"Oh, sorry," he said. I just layed my head on his chest and listened to the sound of his heart beating. "Its beating for you." I rolled my eyes.

"You're an idiot," I said. He chuckled.

"I'm your idiot," he said. I sighed quietly. "You okay?" And just at right timing, my phone buzzed. I quickly turned and grabbed it.

"Its Kevin. He wants me to meet up with him he has something he wants to tell me." I told him. I looked at him with a sorry face.

"Its fine," he said. I smiled and kissed him. Then, left.

I met with Kevin at Pops. He was already waiting for me and he looked upset. Cheryl and Toni weren't there, surprisingly. I went and sat across from him.

"What's up?" I aske him. He sighed.

"I lied," he said. Now I'm confused.

"You lied? About what?" I asked him.

"I haven't told anybody, but I had a boyfriend." He said.

"Wait, did you say you had?" I asked him. He nodded.

"Yeah, we'd been dating for six months. He just broke things off with me. You were the first person who came to mind." He said. I could tell He was upset. I got up and sat next to him. I wrapped my arms around him.

"I'm sorry, Kev. Why didn't you tell us before?" I asked.

"He didn't want anybody to know. His family is," I nodded.

"Yeah," I said.thr bell chimed with Cheryl and Toni walking in. They immediately saw us and quickly walked over.

"What happened?" Toni asked. I looked at Kevin and he nodded.

"Kevin had a secret boyfriend. They didn't tell anybody. But he just broke up with Kevin this morning." I told them.

"I'm sorry, Kevin." Cheryl said.

"Its fine," he said.

"No, its not." Toni said. As they talked a little more, my mind wondered to kiss last night. How could I do that? It bothers me so much.

"Veronica! Veronica!" I heard Cheryl saying my name. I looked at her. "Are you Okay? You looked like you were thinking."

"Oh, no I'm fine," I told her.

"No, you're not, what is it?" Kevin asked.

"Really it's nothing." I said.

"Veronica," he said. I sighed.

"For the last week I've been hanging out with Archie again." I said.

"What?" Cheryl said.

"Why?" Kevin said.

"Are you kidding?" Toni asked.

"When Betty came to me the other say she said she was worried about him. He was using drugs and only wanted me. So I helped him. He's clean now." I told them.

"Why couldn't he just go to rehab?" Cheryl asked.

"He didn't want to only me. I've been there everyday this week. Last night he was happy, he looked normal, he made us dinner and everything was great until..." I stopped.

"Until what? Toni asked. I sighed.

"You didn't sleep with him did you?" Kevin asked.

"What? No! He kissed me and I kissed back. But it's not like I wanted to. I just got caught up in the moment for a second. When I realized what I was doing I quickly left. Now I'm scared to be anywhere around Jughead. What if he finds out and he gets mad? I don't want to end things. I love him guys!" I ranted. Toni put her hand on my arm.

"Girl, shut up! He won't get mad. Besides, it didn't mean anything. Just tell him. It'll be fine." She said. I nodded.

"Okay, I will. Just not today. I want to figure out how to tell him first." They all nodded and we continued talking about other things.
