A Little Sane

Chapter 2

Almost ten months later

"I'm about to lose my shit Jerome!"

Jerome was beyond confused. He had no idea what to do.

"It's been almost ten months and they're still in there! Lee said sometimes babies take a little longer and to just be patient. I'm moody, my back hurts, I'm the size of a fucking barge. I love them so much, but I am over being pregnant! This little boy and his sister need to come on."

Jerome rubbed her belly. 

"How many times this week have you fucked me?"

Jerome shrugged his shoulders.

"A lot.. and why have we been doing that by the way.. it feels weird with the babies in there..."

Mercedes laughed.

"It can make me go into labor."

Jerome froze and his eye grew wide. 

"Excuse me..? You were using me to go into labor..?"

"Uh yeah! I'm ready to hold my babies! It's one of the safest ways to induce my body."

Jerome laughed and shookhis head. Mercedes rubbed her stomach.

"I'm so over being pregnant for real. Come on. Give your poor mommy a break. Come out into the world so we love you and take care of you."

Mercedes looked at Jerome slightly annoyed and laughed.

"These little devil minions just either kicked or punched me. They're grounded as soon as they take their first breath."

Jerome's maniacal laughed filled the air. Mercedes's mouth fell open. 

"Jerome come here. They heard you.. They just kicked the shit out of me."

Jerome laughed again and Mercedes stood up.

"Stop it."

She smiled at her stomach.

"Your daddy thinks he is funny." 

She rubbed her stomach and sighed.

"I know... it's scary coming into the world.. but I am so ready to see you.. come on my beautiful babies.."

"Good lord.."

Mercedes and Jerome stared at Ed who was staring at Mercedes.

"Yes Ed. I know. I'm still very pregnant. You don't have to stare."

"Sorry.."

Mercedes tossed and turned in bed that night. She couldn't sleep. She set up and tapped Jerome. He grumbled. 

"I'm sorry.. I can't sleep.." 

Jerome set up and Mercedes carefully straddled his lap. Her big stomach touched his bare chest and stomach. Jerome played with her hair. He leaned forward and gently kissed her lips. He gently brushed her cheek with his thumb. 

"The babies have you awake."

Mercedes sighed.

"I just can't get comfortable..."

"I'm sorry doll face."

Jerome's expression changed. He looked at Mercedes as if she was crazy.

"What the fuck?! Did you just pee on me?!"
