Mercedes smiled from ear to ear when they pulled into the driveway of a decent-sized house. She stepped out of the car. Jerome and Abbe helped the twins out of the car. The front door of the house opened. Mercedes fell into tears. TaTyana ran off the porch. Jerome smiled watching them hug. Abbe stood awkwardly.
"I have missed you so much..."
TaTyana hugged her tighter.
"I missed you more."
Jessie ran towards the porch.
"Uncle Ed!"
Mercedes and TaTyana pulled away laughing. Ed knelt down to Jessie.
"Hey little man!"
TaTyana turned towards Abbe. She gave her a smile.
"Abbe, it's so nice to finally meet you! Welcome ot our home! You can go right on in with Jerome and the kids."
Abbe nodded and followed Jerome. TaTyana raised an eyebrow.
"Girl... she's hot! Why did y'all stop fucking her?"
Mercedes laughed and shook her head. She grabbed TaTyana's hand.
"Show me your house!"
TaTyana smiled warmly and dragged her through the front door. Mercedes stared at the house in amazement.
"This house in amazing!"
Ed chuckled slightly and gestured towards the kitchen.
"I'm sure you'd love some coffee this morning."
Without thinking Mercedes spoke.
"I can't drink coffee."
TaTyana stared at Mercedes confused. Jerome glared slightly at her worried.
"Since when?"
Mercedes turned to TaTyana to answer. She knew she had to come up with an excuse to not tell her she was pregnant.
"Oh, I've been having acid reflux again the past few days. You know how coffee does that to me. I'm just trying to lay off of it for a week or two. It's been hurting."
TaTyana nodded and slightly laughed.
"Yeah I remember. You're weird."
Mercedes laughed and grabbed Jerome's hand. She gave him a loving smile.
"But I'm sure this handsome man right here would love some."
Jerome glanced at Ed and nodded with a smile.
"Of course I would."
Mercedes suddenly noticed the kids were not present. She turned around in circles.
"Aislinn! Jessie!"
She could hear her twins giggling towards the back of the house.
"Okay what have you got yourselves into?!"
Mercedes, TaTyana, and Abbe followed their giggles. TaTyana laughed when they reached a window by the back door.
"Oh you guys found the puppy dog. Her name is Sophie."
Aislinn turned around with a beaming smile. She jumped up and down.
"Aunt T can we play with her? Does she bite?"
TaTyana smiled widely.
"No she doesn't bite. She loves little kids. You have to ask your mommy first, but I'm okay with it."
