Mercedes stared around the kitchen at all the baking supplies she scattered everywhere. She sighed.

"Need some expert help?"

Mercedes smiled as her gaze lifted to Jeremiah. She nodded.

"Actually yes. The kids didn't want to help.."

Mercedes looked away.

"They're excited for the cookies, but Aislinn... she thinks this is another one of my episodes where I get overly happy and we do a bunch of fun shit... then I just get really sad again..."

Mercedes slightly chuckled and looked up at Jeremiah.

"I can't be mad at her... She was so polite in declining my asking for help."

Jeremiah laughed. He walked around the counter.

"Well, I will help you. What kind of cookies are we making?"

Mercedes excitedly handed him a recipe. He chuckled.

"Chocolate chip peanut butter and regular sugar cookies. I can see we have cookie cutters out. Icing in the refrigerator?"

"Duh! Can't have shaped sugar cookies without icing Miah!"

Jerome peeked in the kitchen before he set on the couch with Ed and TaTyana. TaTyana stared at him confused.

"You're not about to go in there and break up their situation?"

Jerome rolled his eyes. He looked back at the TV.

"Nah. Let them have at it. It's just cookies anyways."

Aislinn ran into the living room.

"Daddy look at my dress!"

Jerome looked at Aislinn in one of her dress up dresses. He smiled lovingly.

"You look beautiful Aisie Bear."

Aislinn ran towards TaTyana and grabbed her hand.

"Come on Aunt T! Come play with me and Jessie!"

TaTyana laughed as she was pulled up from the couch.

"I'm coming sweet girl."

An hour and a half had gone by, Mercedes stood staring at the slight mess in the kitchen. They had managed to make several batches of dough, cook the cookies, and put icing on some of them.

"How did we manage to work so fast?"

Jeremiah nudged Mercedes with a smile.

"We have always been a great cooking team."

Mercedes stared at Jeremiah for a few moments before swiping her finger down his nose. He jumped shocked. He looked at her as if he was dealing with a child.

"Did you just put flour on my nose?"

Mercedes laughed and shook her head.

"Relax. It just looks like your make up isn't blended yet. Here let me help you."

She flicked almost an entire handful of flour in his face. She couldn't help her laughter. Jeremiah lightly shook his head and stared at Mercedes for a few moments. Mercedes jumped when a glob of mushy unused dough leftovers smacked her right in the chest. It landed in her hair that she has just pulled back down. She joking pouted.

"Miah.. My hair..."

Jeremiah rolled with laughter. He shook his head.

"Oh! So you can serve it out, but can't have it served back."
