"Here's a couple of blankets and a fluffy pillow. The guest bathroom is at the end of hallway."

Abbe took the blanket and pillow from Mercedes and smiled.

"Oh and please feel free to go to the kitchen if your need anything. Keep the TV on if you need it too. Don't worry about waking us."

"Thank you so much. I know we just met... But thank you.. This is a lot better than the outside of an apartment building."

Abbe kept her eyes on Jerome. She was tired, but worried about sleeping with him in the same apartment. Mercedes picked up Jessie and walked over to Abbe.

"Say good night to Abbe Jessie."

Abbe smiled when she shook his tiny hand. She waved at Aislinn after Jerome picked her up.  Abbe turned the TV on low and flipped through the channels. She could hear faint laughing down the hallway. A few minutes later she decided to use the restroom. She stopped just at their door out of curiosity. It was cracked just enough for her to see inside. Jerome walked out of their bathroom just as Mercedes walked out of their closet. Jerome was in just a thin pair of sweatpants. She couldn't help, but notice his toned frame. She didn't know what she expected, but she didn't expect him to be that in shape. Mercedes was checking on the cribs. The twins were still awake, but not fussing. Mercedes was wearing a t-shirt that seemed to belong to Jerome. She couldn't make out what they were saying. When Mercedes turned around Jerome pulled her forward closer to him. Abbe had the strong urge for the bathroom, but she was curious at to what Jerome was about to do. He gently placed her hair behind her ear. He leaned in and gently kissed her. He set down on the edge of the bed and pulled her with him. She set on one of his legs. Mercedes gently ran her fingers down his cheek. Mercedes leaned in kissing him. Abbe watched as Jerome ran his hands up her thighs and around her butt, lifting the shirt. It revealed that Mercedes was in nothing, but his shirt and underwear. Abbe decided that was her cue to keep towards the bathroom. She did not want to witness anything she didn't sign up for seeing. Abbe lingered in the bathroom for a few minutes. She stood in the mirror and splashed water on her face.  She thought about how nice they were being and calmed her nerves a little. She quietly walked out of the bathroom and noticed their bedroom light was off. She peaked in one last time. She was prepared to see something she might throw up from, but instead they were sleeping. Mercedes was facing Jerome peacefully snuggled into his form. Jerome had his arms tightly around her.  Abbe sighed and walked back into the living room. She was still nerves about sleeping even though they were already asleep. Sleep was threatening to overtake her. She laid on the couch, covered up and sighed. She watched the TV until she fell deep into sleep.

Jeremiah looked up from his desk upon hearing a knock on his wall. Ecco was standing there shyly. Jeremiah was annoyed, but wasn't amused either.

"I'm sorry... It's just been all day.. It's really late.. You haven't even eaten.."

Jeremiah sighed. He looked down and realized he was mindlessly looking at his plans for the past few hours. Sleep was calling him, but his stomach grumbled. He looked at Ecco tired.

"okay. Maybe just a little bit of food and then I am off to bed."

After eating Jeremiah set on his bed thinking. He's plans for Gotham were brilliant, but they meant nothing to him if he couldn't share then with Mercedes. He knew she was happy with Jerome, but there was a certain power and darkness she held. Jeremiah knew she could be so much more. So powerful. He absolutely loved her for her kind and loving demeanor, but her dark side excited him. He though about the pair of them running Gotham the way they wanted. What a pair they would make. Jeremiah never wanted to hurt her, but he knew some pain might have to come for her to reach her full potential. He changed and laid in his bed. He closed his eyes and pictured the two of them at the top of the Gotham tower in complete control. It made him smile. It wasn't long before sleep claimed him.
