"You want me to let you leave the city with no contact."

Mercedes sighed.

"I'm only asking for three days. Just so we go to this wedding and catch up.."

Diablo grinned.

"Would this be the wedding of your best friend TaTyana Williams? She's marrying the Riddler. Am I correct?"

Mercedes stood shocked.

"Do you always do this extensive background checks on all your employees?"

Diablo chuckled. He gave Mercedes a charming smile.

"Just my special and... Favorite ones."

Mercedes felt butterflies in her stomach. She was one of his favorites. That meant she would definitely be able to get close enough to kill him. He trusted her.

"As for your husband.. I already knew everything about him. Expect the fact his wife is so... Special."

Mercedes flashed him a thankful smile. He walked around his desk and stood inches from her. Mercedes stayed still. He ran his fingers through the ends of her hair.

"You can have four days for this wedding. That gives you one extra day to make sure you are back. Then it is go time. Do you understand me."

Mercedes tilted her head and looked up at him with a smile.

"You are being crystal clear."

Diablo smiled and walked back around his desk.

"You may go."

Mercedes left with a huge smile. She was ready for her next four places she had to go. She made it to an abandoned building that homed the homeless. It hurt her heart to see elderly and children in these conditions. She tried her best not to make eye contact with any of them. She finally made it to a section of the building that actually had beds and seemed slightly nicer. She smiled when she saw exactly who she was looking for.

"Danielle Aryn Summers. But you go by Dani."

The girl instantly reached for a knife. A fireball hit the wall next to her head. She froze. Mercedes spoke clearly.

"I wouldn't do that."

Dani slowly placed the knife back on the side table. She cautiously turned around. Dani had long jet black hair and piercing hazel eyes.

"I know why you're here... What makes you think I know anything..?"

Mercedes slowly walked towards Dani.

"Because you are one of her close friends. You have to know where she's hanging out. See she's been hiding from me and I don't really appreciate her making use all this effort to find her."

Dani shook slightly.

"Why me..?"

Mercedes smirked.

"I do my research and you have the most reason to betray her. You're lesbian."

Dani froze. She could hardly breathe.

"You confessed your feelings for her and she was freaked out. She threatened to beat you and stop protecting you out here if she ever caught you with a girl. She spread rumors about you to keep you in your place. She humiliated you. Betrayed you. You've been unhappy for so long. I also know that you are attracted to me. Of course you'd never tell her that. She'd throw you away for sure. "

Dani didn't realize she was holding her breath. She let it out. Mercedes walked closer to her. So close that Dani couldn't get around her if she wanted to.
