"Daddy where are we going?"

Jerome stared straight ahead as they pulled into a gas station.

"Jessie, we're coming here to see someone it's a surprise."

Aislinn screamed with excitement.

"Aunt T!! Uncle Ed!"

Jerome tried to keep himself composed as he got the twins out of the car. Aislinn and Jessie ran towards TaTyana. Jerome stared at TaTyana completely at a loss.

"Jerome.. you need to hurry up and get home."

Aislinn quickly darted towards Jerome. She was already freaking out.

"Daddy you're leaving us here?!"

Jerome knelt in front of Aislinn.

"My sweet Aisie bear. It's okay. You and Jessie are going to spend some time with Aunt T and Uncle Ed. I don't know how long that will be, but I promise that you will have fun and you will see mommy and daddy again very soon."

Aislinn gripped Jerome crying. TaTyana pulled Aislinn off of Jerome and held her back sadly.

"Daddy no! Daddy!"

Jerome held back his tears.

"It's okay Aisie. You'll see me again soon."

"Bye daddy.."

Jerome kissed Jessie on the head and turned towards his car. Aislinn tried to break free as TaTyana took her to their car.

"Daddy don't leave me! Daddy please! Daddy no! Daddy!"

Jerome turned around. TaTyana spoke.

"Go Jerome. You know to just go."

Jerome got in his car and watched Aislinn thrash as she was buckled into a car seat. He started the car. He could still hear her screaming for him as he pulled away. He couldn't hold his tears back anymore. He wanted more than anything to go back and grab Aislinn to stop her crying. To bring the twins home. He knew it was too dangerous and they had to go. He finally made it back to the apartment. He opened the door to see Mercedes on the floor covered in blood. Abbe was still lying on the floor. Mercedes was crying heavily and seemed out of it. She looked up and instantly stood to her feet.

"Mercedes what are you doing?! You can't just sit here with her! What if the neighbors heard?!"

Mercedes fell into Jerome crying heavily.

"I.. I.. can't! Help me! I can't do this by myself! Jerome! Oh my god!"

Jerome finally caught Mercedes' face. He gently held her chin.

"Oh my god! Mercedes what happened?! What did he do to you?!"

Mercedes couldn't speak. She just shook her head no and continued crying. Jerome knew that he would have to ask her about it later. Jerome stood her up straight. He wiped her tears.

"Look at me. I need you to pull it together. You've seen a dead body. You saw Ash. I know this is terrible. Trust me when I say I'm sad about Abbe too, but we have to pull together. We cannot leave her here. You wanted to be in this world, so I'm sorry, but you need to buck up."

Jerome turned his head to see the tablet sitting on the TV stand. He turned back to Mercedes curiously.

"What's that? It's not ours."
