Mercedes and Jerome spent the next three years trying to stay on Diablo's good side.  They had the occasional run in with the GCPD which always led to them getting away somehow. Aislinn and Jessie were now four year olds who where still oblivious to who their parents really are. Mercedes was still working on a plan. A plan that she felt was remarkable, but there was one downside to her plan. Jerome still didn't know anything about it.  She wanted to keep him out of it until she knew every detail. She wanted to present a well organized plan, because she knew Jerome was known for his well organized plans. Her eyes fluttered open as their bedroom opened. She smiled still half asleep.

"Good morning my handsome little man."

She set up just as Jessie climbed into their bed and into her lap.

"Hi mommy!"

Jessie's short, ginger,  curly hair and blue eyes were deep in color. His cheeks under his eyes and the bridge of his nose were lightly dusted in freckles just like his father. Mercedes looked up with a smile as two more small feet walked into the room.

"Good morning my sweet baby girl."

Aislinn stood with deep ginger,  curly hair slightly past her shoulders. She had more dark and visible freckles.

"Hey.. Mommy..."

Mercedes saw her daughter's disappointed face when she looked behind her. Jerome was still rolled over asleep. Mercedes motioned for her daughter.

"Come here."

She ran her hand down Aislinn cheek and kissed her on the forehead. Aislinn smiled. Mercedes leaned in closely.

"Why don't you go over there, jump on daddy, and wake him up? You have to sneak up on him first."

Aislinn giggled and nodded. She slowly climbed Jerome's side of the bed. She stood over Jerome. She stared at her mother was a huge smile. Mercedes nodded.

"One. Two. Three. Go Aisie get him!"

Aislinn jumped on Jerome's side. He groaned. He slowly rolled over onto his back and gently threw Aislinn into Mercedes. Mercedes smiled.

"Get him again Aisie."

Aislinn jumped on Jerome again. He groaned and slowly opened his eyes. Aislinn was smiling. Mercedes and both the kids were laughing. Jerome sighed and dubbed his eyes. He gently rubbed Aislinn's head.

"Hi daddy!"

Jerome couldn't help but smile at the sight his sweet daughter who loved him unconditionally. Despite how scary he felt that he looked, his daughter always smiled he looked at her.

"Good morning my beautiful Aisie."

Jerome set up and Aislinn poked him the cheek. Jerome laughed when Aislinn leaned forward. Jerome gently pecked Aislinn on the lips and Mercedes playful pouted.

"Hey! Daddy gets a kiss? What about me?!"

Jessie grabbed Mercedes's face and slightly squished it.

"I give you a kiss mommy!"

Jessie planted a wet and sticky kiss right on Mercedes's lips. Mercedes laughed when she pulled away. She wiped her lips. She looked at Jerome and made a slightly grossed out face. She smiled at Jessie.

"Thank you baby."

Jerome laughed loudly. Jessie hugged Mercedes.

"I love you my sweet baby boy."

"Jessie! Let's go wake up Abbe!"

Jessie and Aislinn ran down the hallway.

"Wait! Don't bother Abb...."

Mercedes looked at Jerome and laughed.

"Poor Abbe. Any second two little kids are going to jump all over her."

Jerome laughed maniacally when they heard two kids laughing. Mercedes and Jerome finally looked at each other. Jerome smiled.

"Good morning doll face."

"Good morning handsome."

Jerome leaned over and pressed his lips to Mercedes's.

"Eww!"

"Yuckie!"

Mercedes turned around laughing. Jerome shook his head. Mercedes set forward towards the kids.

"You little stinkers! Did you wake up Abbe?"

Aislinn smiled and nodded frantically.  Jessie gave Mercedes a pitiful look.

"I'm hungry mommy!"

Mercedes hopped out of bed.

"Then let's go get some breakfast. Say come on daddy."

Aislinn grabbed Jerome by the hand and started tugging him.

"Daddy! Get up!"

"I'm coming. Don't take my arm off Aisie."

Mercedes had been thinking about her plan for a while.  She wasn't sure how exactly she was going to execute it. She knew Jerome was going to be angry that she held this plan in for three years, but she wasn't done with it. She knew she had to protect her family and she would do anything to do just that. No matter what it took.
