Jeremiah narrowed his eyes. He stared between Ecco and Mercedes. He parted his lips.

"How did he know you were here?"

Mercedes shook her head in disbelief.

"Jeremiah come on. You're supposed to be intelligent. Yet, you can't see how every step you made after locking the bunker was a stupid one."

Jeremiah's eyes widened. He glared at Ecco.

"You let her make a call for help!"

Jeremiah lunged towards Ecco, but Mercedes stood in front of her.

"Hey! Stop! You're the one who is being blinded by this obsession you have over me! Jeremiah, I don't want to, but please.. don't make me have to hurt you.."

Ecco shrugged.

"She doesn't want to be here and I don't want her here. So... yeah. I helped her."

"Eight minutes brother."

Jeremiah stared at the monitors furiously. Jeremiah let out a heavy breath.

"Fine. I am going out there."

Mercedes turned to Jeremiah anxious. She grabbed his arm.

"What are you going to do?!"

Jeremiah smirked.

"I'm just going to talk to him."

Mercedes glared. Her grip on Jeremiah's arm got tighter.

"If you so much as put a scratch on my husband, I will never forgive you."

Jeremiah pulled away from Mercedes.

"Karen lock the study once I leave it."

Jeremiah ran from the study. Mercedes banged on the door after it locked.

"Jeremiah!"

She ran back to the monitors. Jeremiah finally exited from the bunker. Jerome stared at him grimly.

"Where's my wife asshole?!"

Jeremiah laughed.

"That is no way to greet your dear more intelligent brother."

Jerome aimed his gun. He stepped forward.

"Where the fuck is she Jeremiah?!"

Jeremiah raised his hand.

"Relax. She's safe. In the bunker."

Jeremiah smirked. Mercedes was observing. She saw Jeremiah pull something out from underneath the back of his suit jacket. Her eyes widened. Jeremiah had a grenade. He removed the pin. Mercedes quickly found the speaker button that worked for the front door.

"Jerome! Abbe! Grenade run!"

Jeremiah threw the grenade and darted into the woods. Jerome grabbed Abbe's hand and headed in the opposite direction. Abbe threw the bomb towards the grenade. The last thing Mercedes saw was Jerome and Abbe running away, but three seconds later the grenade exploded. She jumped and stared at the monitors horrified. Ecco kept banging on the study door and trying to open it. The smoke was clearing. Mercedes's heart was racing.

Where are you?! Where are you?!

Mercedes finally saw a hand wrap around a tree. It was Abbe pulling herself to a stand. Mercedes frantically checked all the cameras that surrounded the immediate area.

Jerome where are you?! Come out! Jerome don't do this to me!

Mercedes's thoughts were racing. She could hardly breathe. There was no sign of Jerome. Mercedes shook her head frantically. The thought Jeremiah had blew up Jerome with no remains and she just lost him forever overwhelmed her mind. She stood frozen staring at the empty woods. Mercedes let out a huge gasp of relief when Jerome stumbled out from behind a tree and grabbed Abbe for support. Tears fell down Mercedes's cheeks. The explosion shook Jerome and Abbe, but they were fine. Dirt covered the two, but Mercedes couldn't see any injuries. She turned around infuriated.
