CHASE POV

"Hey, stop crying." Yakap ko sa kanya at marahang hinagod ang likod niya. "I just proposed to you but you're crying like I hurt you."

"Chase, it's not that I don't...kasi Chase... I can't---"

"Shhh..." pigil ko sa gusto niyang sabihin. "You don't have to answer Yesh. I did this because you deserve the best. Because I want you to be happy. I want you to know how special you are to me. My proposal is to let you know how I feel, not to ask you to say those words too." I kissed her hair.

I will wait until you can finally say those words. No matter how long it takes.

Bahagya ko siyang inilayo at tumingin sa mga mata niya, "I won't let go, Yesh. Kahit gaano kataas ang mga alon na sasalubungin natin, I won't. Kahit sino pa ang iharang nila, I won't. Kahit ano pa ang kailangan kong pagdaanan, I won't let go." I held her hand and let it rest on my chest where my heart lies. "You hear that?" Tukoy ko sa pagtibok ng puso ko. "Kahit pa tumigil 'yan, I won't let you go."

She softly touched my face, "I won't ever let that heart stop beating. As long as mine is beating, yours will also do."

And I stood frozen and shocked when she stood on her toes and the next thing I know, her soft and sweet lips was already on mine.

My eyes widened. Fvck! I feel like I'm going to have a heart attack anytime.

Nang maghiwalay ang mga labi namin, mukhang doon lang rin niya na-realize ang ginawa niya.

Bigla na lang siyang tumalikod at patakbo na buti na lang agad kong nahawakan ang braso niya.

"Did you just..." I still can't say what she did. Akmang aalis pa rin sana siya kaya tuluyan ko na siyang pinaharap sa'kin. Hindi pa ako nakakarecover sa ginawa niya but hell, I want to laugh when I saw her face. It's really scarlet red!

Pilit kong hinuhuli ang tingin niya pero pilit din siyang umiiwas. God! She's so cute!

I held her chin but her gaze was still on the ground. "Do you realize what you just did?" I asked her. Napapikit siya, parang gusto pa ngang batukan ang sarili. "There's a reason I did not do it on my proposal, Yesh. I can and I want to but I did not. You asked me to refrain from kissing you, remember?" That's when she looked at me. She gulped. "Kung sinabi mo na gusto mo, sana pala---"

"Chase!" Nahihiyang sigaw niya.

I can't help but laugh at her. Tumigil lang ako nang makitang naiiyak na siya.

"Hey," tawag ko. "Sorry na. Hindi na kita aasarin. Pero... pwedeng isa pa?" Ngisi ko.

Tuluyan na niya akong tinalikuran at naupo sa mga unan.

Hindi ko man marinig ang mga salitang 'yon, alam ko namang mahal mo rin ako. At kahit pa hindi, mamahalin pa rin kita.

Sinundan ko siya at naupo sa tabi niya tsaka pinagsalikop ang mga kamay namin.

"Thank you." She looked at me. "Because even though I told you that you don't have to answer, I still feel that you did." I then kissed the back of her palm. "I gave you this ring the first time I told you that I won't let go. I wasn't able to do it then, but now I'm determined to do it. Especially with all the things that we've been through. Alam ko marami pang darating. Mas mahihirap. Mas mabibigat. But... Don't ever remove your ring, okay?"

"I won't." She answered. "I hope you do the same."

"Of course, I trust you with my all, remember?" Nahiga ako at tinanaw ang papaliwanag nang kalangitan. "Lalo pa ngayon, hinalikan mo na ako."
