DESTINY 68 - ARAGON FAMILY

CHASE POV

Rekx's serious expression doubled, his eyes squinted and seconds later, danger surrounded him.

I subconsciously took a step backwards.

"You knew for quite a while now?" I gulped at the menace in his voice. "How long had you already known, Chase Alcantara?"

I took another step back.

"You knew about us?"

My hands were literally shaking in fear. I have to hold them together to stop them.

"I'm asking you, Chase. You knew about us?"

Hindi ako nakasagot. Parang nablangko ang utak ko sa kapangyarihang nakapalibot sa kanya. Rekx does exude a powerful aura. Doble ng madalas kong makita kina Yesha at Captain.

"Do I have to ask again?"

I shook my head a bit to focus. "N-No—"

"You said you knew about Destiny for quite a while now."

"I figured she is your daughter. That's all I know, Rekx. I don't know anything about you being an Aragon until now. Since she is your daughter then she is Yesha Destiny Aragon, not Yesha Destiny Vera." I held his stare, conveying that I'm telling the truth.

Ilang segundo niya akong matamang tinitigan, binabasa kung nagsasabi ako nang totoo. Ilang segundo lang 'yon, pero pakiramdam ko bubulagta ako sa pagpipigil ng hininga.

"Did she tell you?"

Umiling ako. "I just figured it out with the pieces of information about her and Yuri. Not only once did it cross my mind that she is not a Vera. Then Destiny said Yuri is her brother. That baffled me because we've known the Vera's for a long time but they never mentioned them. And then she showed a picture of him. You and Yuri have resemblance. That's when the pieces fit together."

He nodded. "Did you tell anyone about this?"

"No, not even to her. Captain told me that whoever knew her real identity would have to die and she... will be the one to execute that death."

"That's why you kept quiet."

"I don't want to put her in that situation."

"I am speechless that you knew but I'm also thankful that you didn't tell anyone." He took a breathe. "I don't want to imagine how torturous it will be for her to end your life."

"I didn't mean to discover. Matigas lang talaga ulo ko. Hindi ako nakinig sa kanya no'ng sinabi niyang huwag akong manghimasok. Instead, nag-imbestiga pa ako."

"Yeah, I agree with that. Matigas talaga ulo mo. Kaya nga nasa ganitong sitwasyon ka ngayon."

I can't help but purse my lips and held my head down. Iba talaga ang dating 'pag si Rekx ang nagsasalita.

"Since I'm about to tell you who she really is then that rule doesn't apply now. She doesn't have to end your life."

Napabuga ako ng marahas na hangin. Parang noon lang bumalik sa normal ang paghinga ko. Kaya ko lang naman sinabi dahil sasabihin na nga niya tapos biglang nag-iba aura niya. Nanlambot talaga mga tuhod ko ro'n.

"Do you want to know more about Aragon family?"

Pasimple kong ipinunas ang namamawis na kamay sa likod ko. "If I'll stay alive after knowing everything, then yes."

He laughed a bit. "Did you really think I'll kill you?"

Paanong hindi ko iisipin 'yon eh tingin mo pa lang parang hinahalukay na kaluluwa ko.
